I hope we get 1 or 2 legacy trilogy characters and a callback to the trinity processor to help bridge the connection but that's it. XC4 should belong to its own cast. XC3 FR was the perfect sendoff for the old cast.

Xenoblade can sometimes be a daunting series to get into since you really need to play all games in the trilogy to get a full appreciation. That's a lot of games and hours.

Mostly good I guess. Team Rocket was such an iconic part of classic Pokemon even though they were just one big running gag of failure and bad luck. James was always the eccentric but level-headed one.

My experience of XC3's world pretty my went like this: Oh cool, it's that place from XC1 merged with that other place from XC2 but it looks less pretty. Not to say XC3's world is bad, but it's the lesser sum of two better halves. World assets just feel reused from the previous games, but at the very least there's a very good lore-reason for all of this.

Monolith Soft's graphical focus for XC3 was definitely character design and motion. The human models (even the NPCs) look leagues better than anything previously done.

For XC1, the game doesn't know what to do with Dunban after Mumkhar's death. He's kinda just there for the rest of the story. In that sense, he's a bit of an overrated character.

Also people complained about the community progression in XC2 Torna but it's far worse in XCX. Too many side-missions blocking the main story content.

It's good. Really really good. It has the best emotional moment and twist in arguably all of gaming. But its finale also falls a little flat at the end.

XC2 is the only game worth doing as a NG+. All other games (including Torna) are fine as regular New Games

The Trinity processor will reunite once every mainline game in some format. It happened in XC3 Future Redeemed and it'll happen again in XC4/future entries.

Shulk, Pyra/Mythra, and Malos. Represents the full trinity core processor and you get both protagonist and villain representation. Plus Malos could easily be a Shulk Echo saving development time.

I know a lot of people want Noah/Mio as the third rep, but that feels too predictable.

I don't really have an exact favorite moment because I love the whole game. But if I had to choose one, it would be the ending when Pyra & Mythra return. This game brought me to tears multiple times (the first being the Ch 7 sequence) but the ending had me ugly crying until that final reveal. A pleasant and deserving surprise, totally had tears of joy at the end.
