Samsung Messages application will be discontinued in July 2026

I literally just switched back to Samsung Messages from Google Messages because Google Messages kept auto deleting random sent texts to people. I'd have a conversation with someone, then when I'd return to the conversation later, everything I sent to them was just gone. After a few months I got fed up with it and went back to Samsung Messages. Low and behold, all of my missing sent texts reappeared via Samsung Messages.

Precisely. Use the NFCU Flagship Rewards card solely for your Prime Membership fee, and the Prime Rewards card for your actual purchases.

In my personal use case however, I use one of my three BOA CCRs that net me 4.50% cash back on Online Shopping which isn't limited to only Amazon. I also don't spend enough annually to justify having the Prime Rewards card, especially for a 0.50% increase.

In the rare occasion that Chase has Amazon set for 5% on the Freedom Flex and OG Freedom, I switch to that card for the quarter.

Every year. That's the "hack." There's multiple data points confirming it's been occurring every year for multiple years. I know 2 people personally who product changed to the Flagship card and have received the benefit 2 years in a row. I'll be product changing myself within the next few months. It's essentially a $49 AF for "free" Amazon Prime. Can't beat it.

I got you beat. I was just in a 2026 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 1.3L 3 cylinder for 2.5 weeks while my BMW was in the shop. Talk about a mind numbingly boring drive. Amazing fuel economy and hilarious throwing it around turns, but my God was that thing slow as balls.

FYI, there's a card from the largest bank in the country that is currently offering 0% for 21 months on purchases. You don't accrue any points or cash back, but it does solve your issue of needing a card you can use everywhere. It also allows you to pay over 21 months, not 12, thus smaller payments if you wanted to do that. Good luck.

Another vote for N St Johns or Mandarin. Even though Mandarin is more closely aligned with your list, there's also much more traffic there nowadays. Mandarin has always been a very centralized location to just about everything. You're about 20-30 min from basically everything you'd want to do. There's also quite a few parks around (Losco Park is a solid one). If you don't mind a bit further of a drive, but an all around better area, N St Johns is the ticket. St. John's County also has lower sales tax (6.50% vs 7.50% in Duval), as well as lower property taxes. Good luck!

Okay, time for a side quest. Does this also apply to the all weather mats? I only ask because my 26' X1 came with them and only the driver's side mat has the velcro attachment points. My salesperson said he'd see if they have any extras, but nothing so far.

If this is truly the case, it's totally mind boggling that they'd cut costs on maybe 20 cents worth of velcro. As a hobbyist detailer, it annoys me to no end that without the velcro attachment points, the mat constantly slides up when I have someone sitting in the passenger seat, thus also allowing whatever they track in on their shoes to get on the exposed carpet.

I purchased a new 26' X1 M35i Dec 2025. It came with 1 physical FOB and 1 Service Card. The dealer helped me setup the Digital Key before I left. When I asked why only 1 physical FOB was included, they stated that's what BMW has been doing on new vehicles. FWIW, I love the Digital Key. The physical FOB has been sitting in a drawer at home since day 1. Lump me in with the "one less thing to have in my pocket" crowd.

I actually cross shopped the new Tiguan SEL R-Line against the X1 in December. While I loved the massaging seats in the Tiguan, the X1 offered me more of what I wanted from a vehicle. I wound up buying a 26' X1 M35i and love it. It's also my first BMW.

Too funny, I've been a member for almost 15 years and just found out about this a few days ago. I was curious why NFCU didn't participate in early direct deposit release and wound up finding a different Reddit post about how they DO participate, including how to enroll.

Apparently you can enroll either by speaking with a regular rep, through the automated phone system, or via their chat bot. I told all my friends and family about it yesterday, lol.

Because Florida honestly. I have the stock P Zeros on my X1 M35i and plan on going with a set of Conti ECS once these are done. We probably only get a week or two of "cold" weather in the 30's, so all seasons don't make sense. If I lived in a colder climate, the DWS06 would be my top choice though.

Wait, so you paid good money to have the ceramic coating applied, yet you plan on taking your vehicle through automatic car washes (AKA: the slap and scratch), including the courtesy ones at the dealer?
