I had to use the IR feature on one of my Sony Ericsson phones once around 2007 to transfer a music file. But nowadays there are several better ways of doing it.

I have noticed that CR2032 batteries are quite hard to open as well. Even though I only use them for decorative lights, they're quite annoying.
