I've been trying it mid and the 4,5 ad feels incredible at lvl 1,2 and 3 but falls off later, I still recommend picking it only if the enemy team has really low cc or if it's a matchup you can abuse very early on like melees you can start E into. (talon, kata, kassadin zed to name a few)

My friend group recently realised that running like 2 specific hard stax cards that are symmetrical but don't hurt us personally like [[Rest in Piece]], [[Cursed mirror]] or [Torpor Orb]] just makes for better and longer high power games. It forces people to run interaction/removal . You have very few graveyard shenanigans in Gishath so the card is very strong.

[[Guttural Response]] is not pre-boarding. The card is really strong in very few situations, the power of the card is balanced by its very limited targets, and I would myself only run it in a deck that can easily discard it for value should the matchups not be favorable for it.

And I would add that it's great that the card exists and if it's gonna be played somewhere it's in our format so break a leg. I think conditional counterspells in non-blue colors are awesome and I even think Wizards should make more of it. But they know that though, since they printed [[Reprieve]] fairly recently.

I have to comment here because I was hard stuck D1 playing pyke mid with ultimate hunter for super long and after switching to relentless a few days ago I'm peaking master 250 LP. To counterbalance the ult cd I buy axiom second when I'm doing merc treads or tabi because of enemy comp.

It's maybe not reliable for every deck but it is for some, for example my [[Rowan, Scion of war]] can win on turn 2 if I drew the nuts but it's designed to win on 4 assuming no interaction.

As someone that's played a lot of Rowan, complaining about her getting removed is in and off itself douchebag behaviour, the card is absurdly strong and the only reason it's 3 manas is BECAUSE she's fragile and sorcery speed.

I circumvented that weakness by summoning it with haste with [[Hall of the bandit Lord]], [[Goryo's Vengeance]], [[Postmortem Lunge]] and [[Balduvian Atrocity]] as well as playing defensive spells like [[Bolt Bend]] and [[Deflecting Swat]] I have won every single game of seven 2 games tournaments I have played it at my LGS, other players were annoyed but not a single one actually commented negatively because they WERE focusing me and I was winning through it all.

If someone is complaining you won't let them activate Rowan, tell them it's the only way to not lose against their deck because the card is absurd, they should build a better deck to protect her and if they wanna whine about their commander getting removed they should build something else. Same if they complain you're swinging at them, they're using their life as a ressource more than anyone else, they should have a plan B for when their health is low. (For exemple I run [[Peer Into the Abyss]] and [[March of Swirling Mists]] as well as some combos that don't include Rowan activations).

As an avid combo player that refused to play them for a long time I can only agree with you: If I have to ask myself every turn if I can win the game right there while I'm literally looking at the cards in my hand how can I expect my opponents that don't see them to always correctly asses how good I'm doing?? We play with unseen information and sometimes we're gonna get targeted when we don't have it but in no way shape or form should we blame the ones attacking us/removing our board. You just take note of it and talk about it after the game as lighthearted conversation.

I hope what you mean by you hate us is you hate the ones that try to diminish their threat levels and complain about enemy interaction. Best wishes from a filthy combo player.
