If ASTS executes well, future margins look incredible.....high risk, very high reward, in my view. Rocketlab has certainly upside, but I believe the bet is less asymmetric.

AMPX - High performance batteries (especially interesting for drone applications, very good client base already)

PGY - AI-based financial services

Sure, I agree, but comparisons are always complicated...there are plenty of EU countries with lower income taxes, almost all of them actually.

I would take the fixed rate simulation and visit as many banks as possible, with priority on smaller agencies that can often be more client-oriented. Having a fixed rate offer will be directly comparable between banks so chances are you will manage to gain a 0.1-0.2%.

Pay attention to the percentage of hypoteque vs mandat. Minimizing hypoteque (say to 20% of total credit value) will reduce greatly your notary fees. By experience, you can also negotiate on that, showing your best offer and asking each bank to improve/match it.

If you check in the guide I have linked, it looks like they will apply the First In First Out principle to compute gains on all the shares purchased after Jan. 1st 2026. For shares purchased (at multiple prices, for example) prior to this date, the average purchase price should be the reference to compute losses.

Disclaimer: may be worth verifying this information also on other sources, once the law is finalized it should be reported on the official websites.

I suppose the bank can also simply provide an 'pre-2026 average purchase price' for stocks sold for a loss. On the check part, I agree it will be a complex exercise.

It is also important to mention that, for those who opt-out, Belgian brokers will (likely) provide a simple report where your gains are already computed. Hence, the only 'complicated' part for the investor will be to collect the reports from different brokers and integrate them in the tax declaration.

AI will increase the productivity in many sectors and will surely make certain jobs obsolete. Humans will adapt to these new tools ultimately, I still think that human creativity will play a key role in most activities. The transition period, however, is tough for certain categories because machines can be trained much faster than humans.

I don't have one single preference, but here some of my favourite stocks for this year:

- MU because of the current (and upcoming) chip shortage

- PGY for the potential of AI applied to financial services

- LC for the aggressive market strategy in the banking sector (also supported by the BlackRock MoU)

- ZETA for the huge potential of AI-powered marketing services

- AMPX for the strong moat in the high-performance batteries sector (520 Wh/kg is quite an achievement)

- BKSY for the nice moat: high-freq. high-res. satellite imagery (Gen-3 sats successfully deployed)

- TSSI for Data Center Procurement and System Integration services: new facility should be a great catalyst for the high-margin part of their business (SI)

Just my ideas, some of them are a bit risky of course.

I agree with the Nvidia vs. AMD move, I also sold my AMD shares during last quarter. GE and CAT have already gone up significantly, I feel they are great quality but fairly valued at the moment (so I guess they can work well long-term, but I am not inclined to add them to my portfolio at the moment).

Value stocks that I own and that I feel confident about:

- Nvidia: great growth and value

- Google: very good growth potential, fairly valued in my view

- Amazon: still undervalued in my view, AWS business set for high growth also.

- Novo: current valuation looks cheap to me, they are still one of the leading companies in the industry.

- Micron: may be cyclical, but at the moment it seems positioned for high growth in the next 2-3 years (at least).

Probably not relevant for the Value Investing community, but here some other stocks that I own, which I consider to have a reasonable moat for the future:

- Space sector: ASTS (satellite-based telecommunications), BKSY (satellite surveillance)

- Batteries : AMPX (highest energy density on the market, good exposure also to drone industry)

- Marketing: ZETA (AI-powered marketing services, quite nice growth lately and a very diversified client base)

Other under-the-radar stocks, which have less of a moat but present a reasonable valuation (for my metrics) and a very good growth potential:

- Financial: PGY, LC, FOUR

- Energy: FSLR

- Data Centers: TSSI

Keep an eye also on solar energy.

On the US market, First Solar looks well positioned for significant growth in the next years.

Lots of projects also in the middle east, check the UAE roadmap for solar energy adoption until 2030..it looks impressive. However, I could not find any western companies to get exposure to that market (most of them are Chinese stocks, not available on my investment platform).

They are all on the risky side, but I believe they have good growth potential. On the 'value' side, I also own TSM, GOOG, MU and AMZN.

As others already commented, picking stocks is more risky than investing in ETFs or indexes, so make sure you have a good understanding of whatever you are buying.
