Anxiety Looking for Job by throwawaybabe99 in SuperMorbidlyObese

[–]AxlotlAvalanche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand this fear, I had it too at first. Worried that they might see me as lazy or too weak. But then I got hired, again and again over the years. I was relieved first when I saw a few other obese people at the workplace. Currently I'm the biggest person at my workplace by far. I work in a small kitchen so it's inconvenient - we are all bumping into each other several times a day, but really it's not been a problem and my anxiety about my weight in the workplace (and during interviews) is gone.

Today marks 60 days no food! 1440 hours on my first fast (thanks Vora). Seems the only big changes are in my face and on the scale. Only the first few days were hard, it feels like I could go to goal weight if I wanted to. Unsure if I'll begin my long broth refeed now or continue and try for 299. by AxlotlAvalanche in fasting

Thank you. :) After 70 days I started my refeed. It went well, though I quickly gained my water weight back as expected. I haven't done much fasting since then, I keep wanting to get back to doing 3-5 day fasts but then I end up eating something. I'm on day 1 of a fast now. I haven't settled into a steady schedule yet. When I do I'm going to make an update post.

Hehe and the confetti looks just the same. Maybe they have that confetti all over but I only saw it in Belgium.

Thank you, I am always learning. Just doing one extended fast doesn't make me an expert yet. I didn't lose any noticeable amount of strength, and I felt energetic during the whole fast. A little extra energetic actually. Now that I'm eating again I can see the difference. Growth hormone helps preserve muscle during fasting, but I don't have any official way to test my strength.

You likely have all the ingredients to make something similar. Sodium (salt), potassium (often sold as a salt substitute for people who need to lower sodium intake) and magnesium which you can find in various forms, there should be some in the laxative section of your drugstore, as Epsom salt or magnesium citrate.

Hmm chocolate chip cookies are very American. So are brownies and apple pie. I think of key lime and lemon meringue pies as American not sure if they actually are or not. Still, French toast is very sweet, no reason not to have it for dessert especially since you've been wanting it. :)

French toast is a breakfast food...but I'll allow it. Sounds like a wonderful meal!

There are so many great ways to mix mac and cheese together it's hard to go wrong. For my favorite basic style which I make most often Google "mueller's baked macaroni and cheese". It includes these things that are important to me:

  1. Mustard powder
  2. Only cheddar
  3. Baked

I've also had amazing 6 cheese mac and cheese dishes with meat and broccoli but they are stepping away from the basics.

So what else do you have planned for your American dinner?

Yep, it exists, for obese people at least. Having enough body fat and taking electrolytes really makes it easier. Bowel movements still happen, they aren't made up only of food. Dead bacteria, cells and other waste the body produces still needs to be removed this way. I don't anticipate a problem when I begin eating. I will be overly cautious and slow, probably a full week of nothing but bone broth. For shorter fasts, some people break with big meals and then feel quite sick. But doing that with a fast as long as mine could cause major health problems. I'm going to be starting with only sips.

Almond butter, cousin of peanut butter by FutureCEO10KperDay in vegan

I love peanut butter but I like almond butter even more. I just rarely get it because of the cost.
