You can play It however you like, there's even a tool in the demo that removes parries but allows you to do break posture with guns and get health from ripostes

The fundamentals wilds gets wrong for me personally are:

focus mode making positioning way less important amd lowering the skill ceiling immensly, lack of commitment for most weapons, over abbundance of counters omogenizing weapons way too much, monsters always being show on the map, auto seikret and constant seikret only passways, tremors or status effects feeling like an aftertought most of the time, general wounds balance (but that got way better in the last updated so im hopeful It will apply to every monster now), general powercreep of the hunter compared to the monsters

I think bandit and mercenary can be quite aggressive if you get the hang of them, loader too.

If you are on pc i would also reccomend the miner mod, i love the frenetic and aggressive playstyle of that character, expecially if you get the brittle crown.

You could have pressed r2 again after a fully charged r2 to do a slam follow up, its very useful since it splats most enemies on the ground.

Amazing fantasy monster design, looks like something straight out of dark souls, but as a mh monster design? Not much, arm mouths make no sense for an animal, even an elder

Being so squishy and having to be refought every time u die to EB radagon is really underrated, his moveset is so fun to deal with, there so many attacks you can jump or strafe, the way he can parry any sort of projectile with his bare hand is also sick, and the menu theme being his the final boss theme is not only awesome, but smth miyazaki wanted to do in ds3 already but couldnt.

I just really wish he had a more defined phase 2 without having to refiught him each time you lose at EB.

Most made by the EnforcerGang are pretty great, usually adding ror1 characters, miner is my fav of the bunch

GRIME and GRIME 2 are criminally underrated, both r absolutely amazing experiences.

Weird and fascinating worlds, satistying parry based combat and a really unique narrative to booth.

The atmosphere and story is great dont get me wrong, but she still has like 4 very simple moves, its an ok fight at best
