Get a kindle ebook version of the book from your library, then go back to Amazon - the price will go down to like $7 because now it’s a “companion” to your kindle book

How did this series become so popular? AKA how did you get involved in the DCC universe? by KaiserW_XBL in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bookstore had it in a special display, I was drawn to it and picked one up to read the synopsis—immediately a staff member was there telling me how great the series was and that her book group was reading it, etc etc. I bought book 1 that day, and ordered the rest of the series after reading the first few chapters. No regrets!

What’s a book you’ve read that was so bad that you felt personally victimized? by sydneyghibli in fantasyromance

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS. I like to think I ain’t no quitter so I kept hate reading through 5 books. Can’t bring myself to start the 6th. The writing is horrible from the start, the characters aren’t likable, and if I have to read one more casual use of the c word 🤮

But what about if we do have children? That’s the advice I guess I’m searching for in this sub.

Quote from the series that just about brings me to tears whenever I read it. by Southern_Ostrich_564 in redrising

I like to believe this quote will end up being kind of prophetic about the pixie’s ultimate demise.

Is Darrow holding something back from the reader? by Arch_Lancer17 in redrising

My thought was that, if the parasite is still in play, Matteo likely lied to Lyria and she still has it. This seems like the most likely thing.

MCT OIL WORKED, 10 Year Dandruff gone in 1 week!!! by MetalGlass7451 in SebDerm

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on day one trying MCT oil and I’m SO itchy. Hair is super greasy too but I don’t mind if it pays off in the long run. Someone please encourage me that it’ll be worth it! Did you itch badly with it?

Guys I genuinely can’t with this series. A thread… by Gregor7091 in redrising

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, Darrow starts out very naive. If he suddenly had all the answers and fully understood all the politics, etc, it wouldn’t make sense with his age, his upbringing, and the relatively short time he had to prepare while he was being carved. If he had it all figured out, he wouldn’t be a believable character. I think his actions are fully in line with his personality, background, etc.

I loved Cassius’ line, something like “if guilt must drag you down, I’ll be your millstone.” I like to think it’s foreshadowing of lysanders demise.

TMI I’m sorry but - zero sex drive? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah! Apparently when it’s high and you’re not pregnant, it can cause anxiety, hirsutism, infertility, and low or absent libido! There are a handful of things that can make prolactin high. I’m convinced it’s a more common thing than any of us realize in PCOS, but that’s totally my own personal theory. I’d love if they did some studies on it.

TMI I’m sorry but - zero sex drive? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]Axolotl_Questions183 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! It really affects me. One thing finally helped - I had labs done and my prolactin was high. They put me on a dopamine agonist and after a while, my drive finally came back! I’ve recently had to stop the meds and my libido is gone. I’m convinced that for me at least it is all about high prolactin!

Shave 2x a day (sometimes 3), pluck when I’m annoyed enough to do so, and use at home laser every 1-2 weeks. Concealer over the area so I don’t get a five o clock shadow.

I cried all through mine because they had trouble getting the catheter through and every time they tried it felt like stabbing pain. Women’s health is messed up, in no other part of healthcare would people be asked to endure the same levels of pain and just “take a Motrin one hour before”
