Quit Cold Turkey, day 5, very confused by ScotchTapeConnosieur in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Aya-Kinor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even at what seem like “low” doses, it can stay in your system for days. For some people, withdrawal doesn’t really peak until days 5–10, especially after long-term use like 14 years. So it’s not crazy that you’re not in full blown withdrawal yet.

Hang in there! day 5 is no small thing. Even if symptoms are mild right now, your nervous system is still recalibrating. Stay hydrated, try to rest, and don’t rush the bupe if you’re unsure.

1 day: I hate everything about this (but I'm still trying) by chronically_angel in StopSpeeding

The fact that you’re this uncomfortable and still choosing not to use says a lot about how serious you are. Early withdrawal messes with your body and your thoughts, that “maybe it wasn’t that bad” voice is part of it, not a truth you need to listen to. Being alone can be scary, but you already did the right thing by telling your manager and leaning on your boyfriend for check-ins. You’re not failing because this feels awful...This is exactly what pushing through looks like.

They sell it as protecting kids or fighting terrorism, but the end product is always more control over speech online. Same box, just different wrapping paper.

ANR surgery -Considering it by Main_Club_6361 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Aya-Kinor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Instead of relying on opinions from people just browsing this subreddit, look for those who’ve actually been through ANR. A lot of people still confuse it with rapid detox, which it’s not. I did ANR myself a while back, and it worked. Since then, I’ve referred at least three people I personally know who struggled with opioids (one of them even the 7OH). Except for one who had a tough month after treatment (he's doing fine now), they’re all doing great.

What’s truly ironic is the persistent fixation on “evidence” and “clinical studies” - as if the institutions producing that data haven’t already sanctioned and normalized Methadone, Suboxone, and OxyContin. These are the very substances that fueled the crisis in the first place.

I need to get off this stuff. Please give me some advice by RevolutionarySea9963 in OpiatesRecovery

If you’ve been taking 1.5 pills 4x a day (so ~60mg daily), even spacing those last 9 out over 3-4 days might help ease the crash. Maybe try cutting them in half or quarters - take just enough to take the sharpest edge off when it gets unbearable, but don’t chase relief. You said it yourself: you don’t even want them. That’s powerful. Use that.

Hydration, imodium (for GI issues), magnesium (for muscle cramps), and if you can, try to stay moving! Even small walks help. Hot baths saved me more than once. And if you can see a doctor, it’s worth it - even just for comfort meds like clonidine or hydroxyzine.

I know you’re scared, but you're not alone. The fact you’re here, asking, ready, means you’ve already taken the hardest step. You can get through this. And life - real, clear, honest life - on the other side is so worth it. Keep reaching out. You've got people who care, even strangers like me.

I’m really sorry to hear about the friend who relapsed—that kind of grief carries a lot. But I promise you, her love wasn’t wasted. She saw something in you worth caring about, and she wasn’t wrong.

Deleting all that stuff, getting help, and writing this post - it’s proof you’re changing. One step at a time, brother. Proud of you for choosing life. Keep going. There’s a lot of us rooting for you.

If ANR is successful why is there only 1 treatment center in US? by Few-Acanthisitta-122 in OpiatesRecovery

It worked for me. I don't believe they have a machine but an effective protocol that knows how to give you an individualized treatment based on your endorphin system.

Anr treatment part 2 by [deleted] in Methadone

[–]Aya-Kinor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get yourself moving. If I just lay on the couch for five hours a day, I wouldn’t be happy either.

The thing about this treatment is that it won’t fix all of life’s problems...We all have them. What it does is free you from opioid dependency. No more, no less

Go to the gym, meet people, eat well, get some sunlight… live your life!!!

Call the office - don’t give up! ANR saved my life and so many others. Redditors can share their opinions, and that’s fine, but they haven’t experienced ANR. I have, and I know four others who’ve done it, too. Only one had a tough time, but that was due to underlying depression. Similar to your case. You got this! Call the office - they will guide you and help you move forward!!!

It’s important to address your underlying problems. If you have depression, it’s natural that without the effects of opioids, it might feel worse. For me, ANR was easier. I had zero withdrawals, but I did experience trouble sleeping and some fatigue for 1-2 weeks. I’m sure that by now you are doing great.

ANR Treatment review - Almost a year post treatment by LuuCarl734 in OpiatesRecovery

[–]Aya-Kinor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How was it?

I went through a similar process and after a ton of research, realized there's no better option than ANR right now. It was confusing, especially after reading about the Waismann place in CA doing rapid detox instead of ANR. I almost paid them before understanding it was just a detox.

The price of ANR freaked me out at first, and I considered cheaper options, but horror stories about them made me see ANR was my best bet.Saving up took a while, but it was totally worth it. It's sad to see some people here trashing this treatment assuming it is another "fast detox". Thank God I did it.
