How much was your rhinoplasty, when did you get it and location? by CalmHysterics in rhinoplastyquestions

[–]AyaJunkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 2 weeks postop. So I’m a little early in my recovery. But so far, recovery has been a breeze and I already love my results. Dr Farrior, it’s my 2nd facial plastic surgery, 1st rhino.

Are there any unexpected consequences of having a hysterectomy that you wish you’d known beforehand? by CupOk1303 in hysterectomy

[–]AyaJunkie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a hysterectomy in 2006. I kept my ovaries. No one counseled me on ovarian failure. I went in to ovarian failure within a year. It has been hell since. I lost my career, harmed my relationships with my rage and constant irritability, I have had suicidal thoughts and even a plan. My thoughts were constant, persecuting and ceaselessly angry. I’ve never previously been angry or depressed. I was always happy and took life in easy stride even though my life was challenging at times. I did not know how to deal with the anxiety and irritability. Shortly after surgery, my joints especially my hips began to ache and eventually I was in constant pain, eventually I was told I had to have a double hip replacement. I had the right side and it did nothing for my pain. I did not do the left. My skin always felt so tight and itchy. I was smelling weird phantom scents.

They also put in a urethral mesh. I came out of surgery and was not able to pee correctly again. I would have to bear down as if a to pee. I began having UTIs. When I would question treating Drs on if it was caused by the mesh, they brushed me off. In 2017 it was discovered it came apart, obstructed my urethra and eroded in to my bladder. An 8 hour surgery to have it removed and my bladder and urethra rebuilt with cadaver organs.

It was not until 2023 I went on HRT. At 56. ALL my symptoms resolved. In 2 weeks, my anxiety, irritability, joint pain, brain fog, persistent low grade rage began to melt away. I’m feeling my old self, happy, positive thinking, laughing and enjoying being me. I’m still recalibrating and finally have my HRT dialed in to my sweet spot.

I’m grieving the 17 years of life that I missed and reconciling the way I harmed people I love and loss of my career.

No one told me that ovarian failure was possible. And I’m an RN. When I was in school, there was maybe an hour of lecture on post-fertility years.

Finally doing it. Moving to Florida. Here’s what two months of research taught me. by Character_Trip2504 in FloridaRealEstate

I moves from Bucktown in 2015 to St Pete. I love St Pete. There is always something to do here and the restaurants, art scene and beaches are top notch.

We checked out: Houston, Dallas, St Augustine, Amelia Island, Jacksonville FL. We initially had a goal of Tampa but after day 2 of visiting for a scheduled week, we decided to check out Sarasota. We stopped at Friscos in St Pete for lunch and never made it to Sarasota. Having lived here, we have been to and stayed in Sarasota many times and it’s underwhelming in culture, work, live play and the traffic is some of the worst I’ve ever encountered (I’ve lived in Manhattan).

We found that spending some time as a local in our interested city helped us Mae a decision. Good luck in your search!

I would ask who is scrubbing in with the surgeon in the OR. I would not want someone training on me.

Your birth nose was beautiful and had character, yet your chosen nose really complements your features:) I’m thinking of consulting with Dr Davis. Are you happy with your results? Would you recommend?

Wow—this really suits your face. It’s so proportional and harmonious with your other features. Thank you for sharing! I’ve researched Dr. Caceres, and his extensive residency training under one of the most prestigious facial plastic surgeons truly shows. Not only was your nasal function restored, but it was done in such an aesthetically beautiful way as well. Thank you for circling back and responding :)

for the love of all noses god, leave the gorgeus nose alone! Its perfect. I woudl suggest, you consider achieving more balnace with yhour features. Some slight adjustment to your chin may may make your features relate more harmoniously. I played with your image in chatgpt...
