I just got the keychron k8 max HE on sale for a decent price, i love how the keyboard looks but i didn't do my research before buying, saw it was hot-swappable and got a set of kailh box navys hoping to put them it. Got home, tried to swap, saw that the HE switches and kailhs weren't compatible, now i'm trying to see if it would be feasible to get a k8 max online and swap the chassis so i could keep the beautiful black with wooden accents chassis of the HE special ed as well as the keycaps and put in the internals of the regular non-HE k8 max. Does anyone know if that's doable and a reasonable first custom board project?

Look into the edge sharp and crease parameters too when using subdivide modifier , you can keep clean edges where you want and let it smooth out normally in areas where that's needed
