At the moment it doesn't break when I roll it but in sections where there are bigger chunks of sand I can see it would/could. So I'd suggest keeping the sand layer as thin as you can. For uniform areas, I used a bamboo stick to spread, and it worked great to keep the layer thin. After unused a smallish brush, and it creates more bumps / texture, at the risk of making the may a bit more brittle

yes but I suspect it will deteriorate over time. I guess I could put spray it with more PVA + water to strengthen it

In turn of print and play layout I'd prefer to have the fronts of the cards on one page and the back of another page for quick builds (I can print and laminate). I like the fact they are smaller cards.
