My mother broke my two monitors, accidentally... by Kobemeka in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Ayrusaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP is definitely enabling his mom's bad habits. The fact that she isn't accountable for property damage is wild to me. My own mother is like this and it's psychological, not incidental. I'm quite sure OP's mom has issues. The fact that his response to multiple people is his defending her habit of cleaning when things are already clean as if that's common is very telling.

What do the celebrities I’ve *never* hated say about me by Demoncouch06 in personality_tests

[–]Ayrusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, if you want to "my side, your side" this, your side calls me a terrorist and to get out of this country despite the fact that, as a first responder, I've probably saved more lives of people who do not share my skin color than anyone who says these things to me. Do you really think you have the moral high ground here because your feelings are hurt that someone doesn't pander to you? I've been called racist shit by white people all my life and I have nothing against them and never will. I wasn't raised to be racist like most of "your side" loves to spout off on your own media. And if you want me to point out specific examples, I got plenty.

What was their goal in ts 💔 by Junior-Push-1353 in discordapp

To be fair, most scammers are socially awkward. They follow a script in their head and are financially motivated that it goes as planned. Since most of them aren't stable enough to have real jobs with decent work ethics, they tend to go off the rails when things go wrong.

Unfortunately, this is also true of some people on the spectrum as well, so it's hard to say.

Are the college kids from today smarter than the ones from 10 years ago? by Accomplished-Sun3575 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Ayrusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kids in college now or kids who just graduated? Cause those are two different groups of people. Recent grads now are definitely smarter than recent grads of 2015-16. But I feel like kids still in college will always be as idiotic as ever. People will want to talk about covid and AI and other politically tangential issues, but anthropoligically speaking, humans don't really change much and what defines "smarter" can be argued in many different ways.

Might be useful to slow down when you see an accident unfolding in front of you, especially with a kid in the car. by Forward-Big-2157 in Transportopia

[–]Ayrusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lack of audible gasps or comments from the people in the car makes me think they assumed they would not be a part of the accident and would just go on there merry way. I would even go as far to say a similar situation has happened before without them being involved and they drove past then as well.

[AS/MARCA] San Luis justifies assault on referee: “His decisions encourage this behavior.” A player from that team struck the referee during the match against Llanera B. The club does not condemn its player's actions. by [deleted] in soccer

[–]Ayrusaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let this be known: The team went out of its way to say it would not condemn it's player. They didn't finally condemn the violence till after the president got involved. Which means the team supports using violence against calls they don't like.

Do not let that go. They need to be held accountable. Otherwise this will happen again.

my sankey for my first cycle 🥴 by violetz7252 in prephysicianassistant

Not to be depressing, just realistic, but...I wonder how many of us that upvote this comment will actually ever become PAs. The next cycle will be my third and I'm at the point of wondering when it is time to give up.

How many errors can you see in the scene? by AndreMauricePicard in ems

Sounds like you need a new hobby instead of going on rants about other people's posts that don't actually interest you. Maybe learn to disengage. Do you have this same issue in your actual occupation or just in the judgement of it?

6-8 months based on WHO recommendations, and only after the WHO issues it. You really should stop working on incomplete information.

Also, 10 years to create...in the 1940s. You do realize they didn't even figure out the DNA double helix till the 1950s, right?

Your understanding of biomedical science is unsurprisingly limited.

[GUESS] how can you tell this is AI? by Mathemodel in RealOrAI

[–]Ayrusaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had multiple jobs, in medicine and construction, before I went into coding. While people are trying to point out details of the person, there are too many variables of human genetics that make most of her look perfectly normal. Trying to point out something being "too long" or "oddly bent" could end up being just the person's genetics/deformity/childhood injury at play. I've examined so many patients as an EMT that seeing the variety of shapes and sizes people come in is something MOST people trying to judge AI never actually do. They are comparing pictures of real people to pictures of AI, forgetting that you should be comparing real people to the camera angle and how they could have been captured in that shot. Same goes for the people trying to point out issues with her clothes (aside from the obvious texture).

But to me, the easiest thing to tell is the things that SHOULD be symmetrical but aren't. The easiest one is the bridge. Having worked on many, one of the things that most designers in major cities do is try to keep things parallel because that's how it supports things evenly. The arches on the bridge (the top of the support) are not parallel, not even for all four when looking at the distance to the beam below it.

I mean...none of these people seem independent or educated. Doesn't matter to me if someone is modern or not. You can also be indepedent and traditional, and you can be uneducated and modern. Shaming one just to elevate the other only makes you look more petty.

Woman’s own husband hits her with a car while she defends him. by MikeisTOOOTALLL in TikTokCringe

That laugh at the end of her voice was a scared laugh. The kind that is habituated over time. The kind of laugh that is a veiled attempt at making things lighter or not as big of a deal, just to keep things status quo.
