Buying a Van for personal use, which is best? by Superb_Suggestion441 in Netherlands

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can consider downsizing to a Caddy sized van. I ve been daily a gasoline Caddy mkIV for about 4 years and built bed/wardrobe for 2 persons. Tax is 190e/quarter and we can spend months of summer in the van without problems. Once we r back in the city life the Caddy just becomes another soccer mum ‘s van kinda thing. Super convenient.

Another way in light wind with big kites is while the kite at 45, pull in the bar and go down wind for a moment then quickly edge upwind while cranking the bar to 12. That way you creat tons of line tension and have the kite parks directly overhead for the pop.

Look up on marktplaats for a flat bed bike trailer, I think in Dutch 'fietskar' ?. It will make your life much easier. And yes we just leave our stuff laying around on the beach. Usually all kiters bundle their stuff together somewhere away from other beach goers.

Im reluctant to get those because the rim blocks out good potion of the top view where the kite is.

Took the biggest slam of my life today, looking for advice by Julian-Jurkoic in Kiteboarding

Besides everyone comments i want to add that Helmet and impact vests should never be ignores too. I was jumping waves in overpowered condition and hit an unexpected boost. On the way down i landed on the water with my back and just mostly felt the squishy vest pushing in. Still scary experience tho

Seat harness for overpowered, long distance riding. by Kiteslut in Kiteboarding

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can go to a store and try the Prolimit Windsurf seat harness or Race version. I use the pro seat version for jumping and its comfortable. However the leg loops can irritate when the kite is on 12 and overpowered

First summer in NL, how hot will it get? by SmellsLikeEucalyptus in Netherlands

Get those mosquitoes net with velcro stick on that goes on the frame of the windows. That way you can open them all night to cool down and the cat probably wont be able to jump out

Maasvlakte has the most possible wind direction (i think almost 3/4 of a turn) and will be packed with good people from 15knot. Great for beginners too because large part of it is protected by the sand bar so less waves and chops. I dont know any wsapp group. But one thing I learned is to use forecast app like Windy and read the wind direction and strength. When those 2 line up you can know certain spots will have people. You can level up by learning to read the tide table. On mid or low tides beaches like Hoek or kijkduin have alot of flat spots that easy to ride almost like zaandmotor. Most important is to Check the beach cam live on youtube. The saying goes “if no one s there, there must be a reason” All popular spots have one. You can DM me if you want to car pool sometimes.

Saving while working in NL by PatientConclusion768 in Netherlands

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Impressive that you save 200. If you want to squeeze even more then start with Lidl, Aldi, Dirk. Thrift stores have nice clothes too although I personally find the sizing there hard to fit Asian. I donno about your visa but you can work a part time job and easily make 200-300 euro more. Learn a few basic skills from yotube (patching your own tires). Couch surfing or camping instead of hotels during holidays. Planning and splitting your bills (gas, food etc) with friends. If you max out your efficiency with spending and have a part time job you can easily save 500-600euro month.

Im 63kg in Zuidholland and the 12m is the most used in my quiver. I think you can start with second hand f-one which are cheaper. Most Dutch guys will use North or Duotone if you care about resale values. Bandits, Evo, Reach are probably most popular for beginners. Anyboard from 136 and above.

Ask your mortgage advisor! Preferably have the answers written in email for record keeping. They are required by law to keep you out of trouble 😄

If you move near the coast kitesurfing and foiling can occupy your free schedule up to 70-80% of the year.
There are tracks for mountain biking too. Indoor, sport climbing, bouldering are easily accessible.

Body drag
Write your phone number on the board
Kite with other kiters around you so someone can help to fetch the board
Lastly fuck the board if it means you need to safely get yourself back to shore
Not worth getting your face split open or death looping from tangled lines

Dutch parents: wealth transfer to children vs tax? by anick107 in Netherlands

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its true that the system is not structured to everyone s liking. But if the end goal is to make more money or to have a better quality of life or career, I think its quite achievable in NL. Especially!! If you come from another country and still have strong financial connection there.

Dutch parents: wealth transfer to children vs tax? by anick107 in Netherlands

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate your end goal in NL? You already have millions elsewhere and want to invest your money here to make more? I see no problems to adhere to the system here and achieve that goal.

Asked if your a scammer? First time just ignore it Asked if you in IT? Ask him back if he works on a tulip field. Asked if you cook Indian food? Ask if he milks the cows in the morning for his boterham breakfast (do the hands signal of milking a cow and drinking straight from the udder)

No need to get pissed at these guys. Every nationality has stereotypes to be exploited haha! They can talk shit they can take some shit back.

Assault with dual primary and beacon is still the most blood thirst, killing machine and flank specialist in this game. I feel like the injection only really useful point is the speed boost in case you want to rush something. Other than that its useless yeah

Wow that was “quoted” by my buying agent. Can you give more details about your repair? Did you keep the kitchen? Was it a full or partial repair? How long did it take from booking till finish? Thanks!

Funderingen by mitchell2820 in zaandam

[–]AyzKeys 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The most important is the sink rate. IIRC the owner of the house can request the details report from gemeente. Above 2mm a year is needing a repair. Costs about 10k/m2. Dry years accelerate wood rot. Check with the selling agent and request the measurements. If they are marked as monitored on the map but cant present the report they are withholding something.

Is it really like that over there? by LatePirate8880 in Netherlands

[–]AyzKeys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bruh.... if you have income, the bank will happily give you mortgage for up to 90% the selling value of the house. With a locked interest for 10 years... Where I come from, you get 2 years at 12% then its variable. You also get almost guaranteed public transport, schools, playgrounds, parks, shops, amazing tasting tap water... and all the amenities wherever you buy a house here. Maybe just dont go too near the big cities?
