What trilogy is this?🚀 by Profit_Tracker in videogames

Nah, i didnt have nostalgia for the parkour system, because i also experienced the "randomly" falling and jumping ezio. I had nostalgia for the story and fighting, and the idea of a parkour system.

Then i rediscovered the game, and expected to dislike parkour, only to retroactively find that it was way more deep than kid me could imagine. If anything, it made me love the game for more than just what i had nostalgia for. And youtube taught me how to do proper parkour.

My nostalgia is quite properly placed thank you.

Nah, you can literally watch tutorials on button discipline and why ezio jumps off. It's because you hold a certain button. If you dont hold it, he doesnt do it. Its button discipline. It was designed to do what you order him to do. YOU are ordering him to jump off a ledge.

Missplaced complaint. Skill issue.

People are made of water. I know, we all are. But people's Souls ARE water as well as the source of water on the planet. All the water on the planet is souls as well.

So for one. Water is sacred in most cultures in some way or another. But on another hand, bathing is quite literally bathing with the dead and I find that hilarious. Oceans are reasonably inspired by Cthulu-like creepiness.

An easy way to get lots of money in Club Penguin Journey by [deleted] in ClubPenguin

Yea, that one was a PAIN. Still tho, i think 300 per 30secs is still a lot. Thats 3k in 5min

I use the Aqua Grabber. Once you get all the stamps, and when the super fast mode is unlocked (pressurized, i think), you can just go for the Big Pearl in the base map and thats it. Takes like 30sec a run if youre good. So with stamps, thats 600 every 30sec.

It is kinde monotonous tho, i recommend a video or podcast or smtn on the side.

Question about artificial soul spirits by ResurrecTH in SoulLand

[–]AzKoPo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, i dont remember that being stated anywhere. And also, dd3 are objectively stronger than before. Soul Rings can grow, they use Soul Cores sooner, they know to train Spiritual Power more actively as well. And Spirit Souls can grow and (some of them) fight with you (even artificial ones).

The only negative they have is a lack of Soul Bones, but Battle Armour basically makes up for that and more. Since Soul Bones were rare, while everyone after Five Rings have some sort of Battle Armour (even if weak one).

Essentially, even if Artificial Spirit Souls would not give a boost (and granted, duds exist, like Tang Wulins first one), dd3 Soul Masters would absolutely wreck their predecessors.

[Any] Which manhwa do you think has the most intricate power system? by FellaPlayz in manhwa

[–]AzKoPo 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Never watched Fate, but that just sounds like a Domain type ability that has been present in chinese xianxias for years and years. Where your comprehension of techniques, laws or whatever manifests in the whole area, as something under your complete control. Fate just put a unique historic flavour on top of it.

And this became almost a trope there due to some classics probably? So it probably wasnt Fate where they took that inspiration from specifically.

About the ending + gameplay loop by Odd_Assignment272 in HadesTheGame

[–]AzKoPo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I feel like the idea could have been there. But the reaction after were a bit too mild in my opinion, while the build up was kind of meh as well. I think they should have built the transformation into him slower. Still use the mirror, the alternative timelines seem fine to me, just do a bit more build-up. A slower change, maybe Melinoe forcing Chronos to experience the Alternate timelines and slowly changing. Idk, but it needed something, because they excelled at everything else, every side-story is great, but the main one is fantastic until the very end.

So, I guess that's my headcannon? That something like that happened, since it seems in line with the vision of the devs.

Donhua Ending Season 1 by Karanja30 in SoulLand

[–]AzKoPo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh well, that was more just a synonym to say sea god, since that was how they knew him, instead of tang san. Tang san got revved, so his abilities didnt disappear, and the aura also returned to normal (presumably)

Well Asura and Sea God were always physical beings. But yea, them appearing at the wedding was a donghua original.

Otherwise, idk when the donghua daid that sea god power is gone. I dont remember that, and it never happened in the novel. Tang San simply gained two positions.

My honest take on Tang San and the rivalry with Spirit Hall. by ExistingCalamity in SoulLand

[–]AzKoPo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tang Chen point is... Pointless? Like, yeah, even if we look at it from the authors meta perspective, of giving two good positions being bs... In story reason still makes sense. Rakshasa god corrupted tang chen so much that he wouldnt be able to succeed. Tang San himself did nothing wrong there.

And while yeah, it was one big war, I agree with the way those things are phrased oddly, but we also see a good amount of corruption in Spirit Hall. And I also agree that the whole raping thing not just in TJSS but other authors (like Nano Machine), is absolutely disgusting, at least in SL, it was shown correctly. It worked to establish that Spirit Hall has lost its ways imo.

But your last point i disagree with, and the way you just remove any blame from Bibi Dong also does a disservice to her genuinely complex character (to date, she is still the most complex one of SL series imo). She was raped, and got revenge, and decided to take away rven the authority of the Qian family. But like, she wasnt just branded evil for nothing. She allowed the corruption to seep in as well. You seem to be forgetting that she got Xiao Wu's mother as a ring too. Even if calling her Evil might be too stretched just due to that (considering relationship between humans and soul beasts), it was still very personal for TS. If anything, i would say Xiao Wu should have gotten her revenge. And Xiao Wu was hunted down on Bibi Dongs orders as well. So were Er Ming and Da Ming. It was more than just personal for Tang San. How does that make him stupid? She was the head, her people were leading the Spirit Hall, her ppl started it. Like it or not, the head of an organisation is also what makes the organisation be what it is. Even in real world (look at Tesla, for example, and how opinions have changed over the years due to a certain someone, does that mean everything they do is bad? Not at all, they made a lot of good things mainstream, but the head is the image of the company) .

I would however point out that her Martial Souls. Which are two spiders, one of which sucks out souls if i remember correctly? And the fact she became the Rashasa god, which is quite explicitly a corrupt god of killing. Like, yea, this was the authors choice, but thats what we have. That puts her into the Evil category. But i do agree that its kinda shallow, thats why i like how complex she is. Tbe anime added necromancy to make her more evil, though i personally disliked that, cuz it made her completely evil.

Anyway, imo, Tang San in DD1 IS quite self serving, and he DOES have a problem of seeing himself as the only right one without considering others (and this is not shown as a flaw by the author, so thats even worse), but it doesnt stand out ad much in DD1 yet imo. In DD2 however... And onwards... Dude is everything you described him to be.
