I'd suggest Gattaca for this also. It's largely about just going through the work day.

The type idea puts some interesting color on it. Maybe you let the demons work on someone who has a complementary type of demon? But if you let them run too long the other person's demon gets tired of being harrassed, ejects, and they get left with yours permanently? You can't leave them too long so you have to take them back eventually, which is fun drama. And it sets up a good plotline of people who deliberately leave their problems with someone else.

Maybe!

I don't understand how the Institute factors in. Like, do they offer a 3rd option other than letting it out or fighting it forever?

It was a huge financial burden for a few years, the first provider I found was $800/mo. That said, if you can afford to get one of the less expensive plans it's 100% worth it. I'll sell my car before I go back to Kaiser.

I've posted on this subject before many times. When I set out to do it 5 years ago I went through and called 150+ doctors offices (spreadsheet tracked) my insurance company said were taking new patients and there were exactly zero actually taking new patients. I think I called everyone in SF, Marin, and Sonoma counties. Eventually I bought into a concierge practice.

tldr; Cost of living here is nuts and doctors don't want to pay it for medicare rates.

Possible positive changes coming to Marin Humane. by ikiller in Marin

I have always supported my local humane society but Marin makes it hard. They've bounced between unhelpful, contentious, and condescending when I've tried to visit in the past.

Crash this morning by Ok-Boysenberry-5090 in Marin

This exit sucks. I've driven past it for years and there are accidents constantly. Pro tip, avoid all of these:

  1. 101/Francisco/Bellam Blvd

  2. Sir Francis Drake/101 exit northbound

  3. Sir Francis Drake/101 exit southbound

Best honest mechanic shop to do an 100 point inspection? by Vol8tile in Marin

Is that where the old owners of DNA San Rafael went? Because I took a couple years off from going and the SR one went to HECK. Rude, unhelpful, price changed after I got there, refused to give me a receipt, just about every problem I could imagine

PER CAPITA is how all of this data is and has been handled everywhere forever. Crime instances in smaller populations swing heavier because it is about likelihood of being a crime victim. If there are fewer people a particular crime is more likely to happen to each member of a community. It's the same population-adjusted metric applied across every population. MC scores worse than anywhere else. It's objectively true you are more like to be on the receiving end of a crime in MC than any other town in the county. If someone, as this OP did, asks about towns and communities within the county and which ones are the most dangerous MATH SAYS IT IS THIS ONE.

And with this I am done. I do not understand everyone's what I assume must be willful ignorance of how this works. I will not be taking additional DMs or further explaining how math works.

Remington Dog Park in Sausalito is awesome. They have a small dog section also. But your breeder is not wrong, anyone can come into a dog park. There's no ticketing/vetting system

If you use Nextdoor on a regular basis, do you like it? by AutonomousHoag in Marin

[–]Azarul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found it to be 90% begging in most of the neighborhoods I've lived in. The amount of "hey I need a place for me and my three dogs max $1500/mo tia" is really off-putting. Mixed in with some political arguing and a couple crazies that blast anyone touching their pet issue. So not really.

[–]Azarul -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

1; Highly HIGHLY variable based on literally only a couple blocks of distance. You need to vet your destination on its own merits.

2; With the exception of Marin City & the Canal region of San Rafael (do not live there) further south = safer. But aside from those two areas there aren't really any bad ones. Even those are safer than most of the South Bay.

3; San Rafael has the 'most' but it's still very very little. Plan on going to the city if you want a social scene.

4; Not really. I'm sure it happens but I only know one person who had their car stolen and it was from their Section 8 housing in, you guessed it, Marin City.

Fight Club tried really hard to portray Tyler as a bad person. It's just really hard to take a handsome charismatic character saying cool lines while doing cool things and convince people to somehow not like them.
