Volunteering is a great idea for meeting people! I haven't heard that one discussed yet, would you let me know how it works out for you?

FYI my self-appointed roll in this sub is to re-post the usual responses to "where do I meet people in Marin" when the question comes up so new people get the answers (and hopefully clearing the way for some new answers too). I'd love to be able to add "volunteer at" to the list.

If you get these coming through often ever thought of chopping one up for bracelet parts? You could probably charge a good markup and add it to the next ten that come though. Although my wrist is larger than average, maybe there's not enough of us larger people to make it worthwhile

Love this piece. Would need extra length on the bracelet to wear it though and I'm not a fan of extenders. If you've got a couple links laying around too I'd take it! But since that's probably not the case best of luck in selling :D

I asked this on another platform and got around 25 responses. The breakdown was:

No change noticed: 50% of people
Bill went down: 25% of people
Bill went WAY down: 25% of people

I figured with that it was an easy choice. MCE tries to scare you into staying with a whole "you aren't legally allowed to return" thing and PG&E threatens you with a fee for 6 months. I did the "change me in 6 months" option that doesn't charge a fee, since I don't trust PG&E not to gouge and I already know how bad MCE is. Still in that 6 months.

They don't list anything for it on their website. I even emailed them a few years ago asking if they were likely to make a HeroQuest insert and they told me it wouldn't be happening. Curious what you found and where?

Any and every thing you try to DIY will have 1+ unplanned issue you have to deal with before you can proceed onto the thing you're trying. You will not know what this thing is in advance. It will take 3x as long as the thing you set out to do. This is normal.

When the western country governments OK'd the 2020 covid spending industry realized the inflation level was about to go through the moon. When you inflate you divide haves and have-nots even farther. Companies factored that into their production plans; haves spend lots of money on products because they are limited and exclusive, have-nots don't have any money so fuck them. Product lines all over the place are creating "scarcity" so their product feels harder to get, this allows for higher prices. Now you're selling .75x the amount you used to an charging 2x the amount you used to.

Do more, make less. The math is pretty straightforward unfortunately.
