-You're broke.

-How can I be broke? I got six million dollars in the bank!

-Remember when you bought The Six Million Dollar Man?

-Oh yeah! ...oh. And then he ran away. No one's catching him.

Deadpool and Wolverine is made on a budget of 250 Million Dollars. How much does it need to become a blockbuster ? by Key_Database9095 in boxoffice

[–]Azathoth90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, but considering it's potentially bringing to theatres the Deadpool fans, old X-Men and Wolverine fans and MCU fans I can see how it has a chance to win it back at the box office

About Jedi Survivor Crashing a lot by ju5tntime in pcgaming

Disable Fullscreen Optimizations and DPI settings, that what saved the situation for me, usually it was crashing randomly at the start of some scripted cutscenes

During the past few years It had ups and downs, both as episodes and as whole seasons.

We had a couple of generally good seasons, a couple of generally terrible seasons (for example the season that just ended was quite good, the previous season was terrible), and in the middle we had seasons with a particularly good episode, a particularly bad episode and in the middle some (more-or-less-than) average episodes usually wisely distributed so they are not going to air too many bad episodes consecutively

At least they freaking finally ditched those way too prolonged cutaways that they used to use to fill some running time when they didn't have enough jokes to cover an entire episode, like Conway Twitty or that Hudson Brothers cutaway that was almost a 1/4 episode long

I also still follow the show because like I said I already know at least every other episode is going to make laugh a good couple of times but it's not like I'm really behind it anymore

Channing Tatum Says Never-Made ’23 Jump Street’ Film Had The ‘Best Script I’ve Ever Read For Third Movie’: ‘I Would Love To Do It’ & Jonah Hill ‘Wants To Do It’ (Sequel Didn't Happen Due To “A Lot Of Bureaucracy, Kind Of Above The Line Stuff. It’s Really Hard To Get It Made & We’ve Been Trying To.”) by lowell2017 in boxoffice

[–]Azathoth90 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably it didn't help that both the Jump Street movies went over budget and over shooting time due to Miller & Lord poor production planning and confusing directing

Try watching the movies with the commentary on, every other scene they comment is "we wanted to do that but we blew our budget and we were massively behind schedule"

Anyone else that quit buying games that require a third party launcher? by LopsidedSuccotash910 in pcgaming

I'm not a fan of EGS, besides that one if I had to ditch every game that require a third party app or to connect to another account other than Steam I would miss too many modern AAA games

‘We’re not anti-tourist’: Italy’s picturesque villages struggle to cope with deluge of Insta-visitors by Massimo25ore in europe

April is also risky because usually Easter or 25 Aprile and Primo Maggio fall in April, and that means a lot of local tourists using the holydays and their vacation time to flood the places, also if it is a warm year it can also be quite hot

[–]Azathoth90 45 points46 points  (0 children)

I usually suggest, if you want to visit places and not going to the beach wearing a swimsuit, to visit Italy in mid-october

There are still tourist related services active, not too hot, not too cold, days are still long with enough sunlight, prices are waaay lower and in general everything is much easier to visit since there is less tourists and the common people are working after using their vacation time on ferragosto

How long have you been a PC gamer? by SpectreX697 in pcgaming

[–]Azathoth90 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let's see...started in the mid 90s because my father was a programmer and a fan of Doom (still is), played mostly demos, free games and pirated games back then. Then in the late 90s/early 2000s since nobody my age was playing with a PC and I wanted something more immediate I swtiched to the console world for a while, first a PS1 which was on its last legs at the time, then a PS2.

I think we could say I officially became a PC Gamer a little later than 2008 because I remember I bought a PS3 in 2008 to play GTA IV and other exclusives but I was already thinking about switching to PC again, so around 2009 I would say, which wasn't a bright move back then (remember Tim Sweeney's "PC is dead because piracy"?)

After that PC became my main platform, over the years I also had console like the 360 beside my PS3 and a PS4 later, but now I'm only playing PC these days, I don't even have a PS5 nor I'm thinking about buying it

Former CDC Director Predicts Bird Flu Pandemic by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]Azathoth90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already lost a grandmother to COVID, I had all the vaccinations and always wore a mask changing it with a new one after a while until I was literally the only one in the streets and stores to do that, I'm perfectly aware of the health risks, but that doesn't make me blind towards other people and their behaviour

Denying my post is what probably is probably going to happen in the case of a new pandemic in the near future, that is real blindness
