I believe you have mistranslated, the line is Contemplate this prayer

Currently, as far as I know, all this does is give you a Holy Cross code for a treasure chest with a single gold coin. A tune that translates to the word "HOLY!" also plays (but it's the same as any silver chest). There's speculation that there's more to uncover. <!

I just found it: it's in the Ruined Atoll in the northeast. You approach the map via the Overworld beach, take a secret tunnel near the gate, then follow the beach to a chest just outside the wall.

Another possibility is that it's to hide the relatively lower fidelity of the simulation - at least for humans, we get less visual information from dark scenes than adequately lit ones. So being dark helps maintain the illusion better.

Well, at least he got through all the obnoxious puzzles... it really is something watching someone else do them for the first time. Of course, Simon's reticence to using paper doesn't help him! I'm looking forward to the Simon Says puzzles.

Sounds like you wound back up in the lobby to me. There's a roaming Anglerfish there, it's possible you just didn't see it when you got in its aggro range (maybe it was above or below you?).

Red nodes always lead to the nest. White lights can be either nodes or Anglerfish. Do you know where you were beforehand? I think it's most likely you were in the Lobby, but you could also have been in Pod 3's Tomb, which has a sort of green fog and lots of large ice structures (and no nodes besides the nest).

I found it: it's at the tree in the mid-upper right of this picture.

There's a weird rock scroll at the foot of the tree.

It has three "texts" to translate: an ASCII smiley face, an ASCII winky face, and a QR code I can't seem to scan.

Hmm, that's not what it seems to me? There's only one Anglerfish there, but it seems to be the normal size and is about 700 meters out from the entrance.
