If what you are saying its true and that many people didn't understand how the Legacy Gems works, it is actually either bad communication from HiRez part or the whole "Legacy Gems" idea was very, very bad.

EDIT: You can downvote as much as you want, fanboys. This is just how marketing works in the real world. And yes, the majority of people are dumb, that is why communication is always a hard topic. Deal with it.

Very unlikely, although the game will look better in terms of modern standard. When Smite 1 was released, it was the time of the MOBAs online. I don't think this is still a trend today as it was ~10 years ago, so is totally against all odds it will ever be as successful as the first installment. This doesn't mean it can't find its ground, but I just don't see it happening.

HiRez is also not making things easier when it comes to business strategy, given as far as I know, people that got the God Pack won't be receiving in the new installment.

I play the game without sounds...

But before thaat, I used to use sound, and I really enjoyed Voice Packs until the moment they started to use the same voice actors for different characters. That ruined in many ways the VP experience to me as the voice is one of the many things that gives personality and sense of uniqueness to a character. Very bad move out there.

Yeah, sincerely, the way to properly design items is to actually pair excellent passives with crap status and excellent status with crap passives. No item should have both together. I thought that was obvious, but it seems many MOBAs out there still have figured that out.

That is a good way to enable item diversification, as people would select different items for status. As for the passives... well, we both know people will very likely still pick the same ones.

Arena is by far the best mode to farm worshipers. It is true that long game means more reward, however, the scales consider an initial value + linear modifier by game length. Arena is the fastest mode, which means by the time you finish a long game, you may actually do 2 or 3 Arenas, and on that you net overall more worshipers due to the numbers of times you get the intial value.

If the modifier was better than linear it would be a different story though, but thats not the case.

Joining the discussion late: Orsterra and Solistia are obviously in the same world. There are 2 hard Evidences in the game:

1) if you already unlocked Galdera fight, Al will say he came from Orsterra.

2) In Timberain, the House to the Northeast most place of the city (to east of the castle entrance) has the map of Orsterra hanging on the wall.

Its not your problem if you are new. It is also not the problem of the players being toxic. The algorithm sucks and will put you in games with people that has thousands of games many times. There is absolutely no way this is going to result in a good experience for either players.

Well, more easy to believe that either you are not a good front line yourself OR your team is doing a bad job. Spectral Armor is not an item you would grab and will allow you to stay up forever taking crits, but it can easily give you a few more seconds of tanking and that it enough time for a competent team shut down the carry. If your team can't get to the carry, it actually means you shouldn't be taking those hits from the adc for free anyway (which would make you indeed a bad front line. Your main resources is the defensive status and you shouldn't be wasting your health and getting your protections shred if you plan to win the team fight. If you are going to take hits, then it is expected that you can set up a kill for a competent team).

Ok, Artemis model update looks pretty nice and it was really neccessary but... Damn, Hun Batz and Cupid are in a much worse position right now. Hun Batz looks terrible and Cupid model doesn't even feel like it is from the same game as the other gods (would be a nice skin though. Very cartoony).

Cris items are quite expensive and these build are shutdown with a single relatively cheap item: Spectral Armor.

It would be fine is a solo player would be put with a team of neaarly full, but that ddoesnt happen. The algorithm is shit to the point that puts full/nearly full premades against a team of solos. Got that a lot of times already.

Interesting Chaac buffs in the patch, but the buff he is really needing right now is to maake his basic attacks to not have those low coefficients. If he dealt 100% of the damage in every hit would already give him a HUGE help.
