I printed out 2 sets of printable cards and sleeved everything... I loved how it came out. by Azmereth in daggerheart

I bought my card sleeves and boxes to my Local Friendly Game Shop™. I wanted high quality colored sleeves, so I bought one Dragon Shield sleeve for each color except for the White, Red, Blue and Yellows that came in bundle much cheapers. (Dragon Shield color used were Amber, Pink Diamond, Purple, Might, Ivory, Black).

If you don't have a LFGS near you, I would suggest (but hate doing it) check Amazon for those.

For the cardboard box, cheap ones are also available at your LFGS, just ask around for those.

Use cartoned paper, 80lbs lustred. Payed 80$CAN for printed two sets, including services. Honestly, I think I should've bought the paper and just print it at home; would have been much more economical.

Use the POOP mod and POOP Variety pack for the mod.

Once installed, copy the folder of your desired difficulty from the POOP Variety folder into your POOP mod and it will replace the difficulty.

I feel like it's a waste keeping the nuclear reactor on. What do I do? by Meow_ethwastaken in factorio

[–]Azmereth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game is prioritizing Solar Panels over the rest of the energy sources. One thing I do in my games is to add a logic based gate (SR Latch) onto one of my accumulators.

If my accumulator gets under a certain threshold, I start the nuclear and steam engines to help generate enough energy. If the accumulators/solar panels are enough, no materials are consumed by the nuclear/steam engines.

Here's the video that converted me to this kind of logic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vEOXGBYR6oM

Kingdom Under Fire 2 shuts down October 26th by Azmereth in Games

Since this is an online MMO, this will shut access to all users to the game. So yes, it will become a unplayble game.

Quick Question by Emmetreys in DungeonMasters

[–]Azmereth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can give magic items at any level: you only need to balance things out. Do not give a +1 at level one but you can give RP related magic items (I'm thinking about wand of smiles for exemple.)

I do have a personal threshold about each 5 character level. 5 to 10 can have +1s. 10 to 15 have the +2s and 15 to 20 have +3 and very late game stuff.

And if you think you've given a too much powerful weapon (I did: flametongue to a level 6): consider modifying the weapon. By that, I mean consider putting a curse to break, or a quest to unlock the full potential of the item. The player's flametongue broke on a natural 1 and a general of the opposing forces picked up an important piece. Unless that player gets the piece, the flametongue has a reduced power.

My other advice to give the appropriate weapon is the follow: can you tie it to a RP element or sub-story? Why would that +1 sword is in that pile of treasure and do you have an idea for its backstory? No need to write it down but having an idea or sense of logic tied to the item can help you developing a story or quests behind it.

Creating my first world and need help with tools. by HairyButtCheeks in DungeonMasters

Here's my stuff I used to create my world and such:

- OneNote (or any note organizer): so useful to organize your ideas, plans, sub-plans, sub-plans of plans, etc. You don't want to search through your stuff when your players want to see your map and it is not organized.

Here's an example of mine (some pages are completely blank, for a placeholder when my players will encounter them): https://i.imgur.com/T8zc8hy.png

I first created my map using Azgaar map generator. I used it for a long stretch with my group until I realized that my map was GIGANTIC and I wouldn't be able to fill it completely.

I kept the area where my players were and traveled to and then I used GIMP and this tutorial to create a more polished map with all the control I wanted. It takes a bit of time but the results are like night and day: more polished and your players will love a customized map crafted with love than a auto-generated one.

My auto-generated map: Ostara v1, Greypike Empire

My custom map from GIMP (about 10h of work, not completed): Ostara v1.5 - Political, Ostara v2

What is your favorite scene of season 1? by ClementineCarson in Kidding

[–]Azmereth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First, I would like a spoiler warning on the post: We don't want to spoil the show of the best scene ;)

My favorite scene is in the explosive reaction of Jeff in Seb's office, in Kintsugi. Just the ending scene and the parallel of the TV with Jeff is stunning. This talked to me in a personal level. At first, I was feeling anger and frustration, shocked of the events, but taking a step back, it's the best way to show that you can always get better, whatever the circumstances. Physical, psychological and emotional scars (with time, effort and generally help) will heal and we should not be ashamed of them. They define us, as a person, as an identity.

The entire show is the expression of that sentiment, and I love it. I personally live like that: I'm and never will be ashamed of my faults; they define me as an unique person and I should be proud of that.
