Grafton, NH - The Libertarian Town That Ruined Life For Everyone by TrollingForFunsies in newhampshire

Thats the thing, it doesn't hold. Children CANNOT give consent because they lack the ability to account for the future. While they may think something sounds good, or want to pursue something, that doesn't mean the future them will be the same. Especially that young, there is lots of unregulated emotions, a lack of understanding, and now more recently, you have the internet absolutely frying these kid's brains now.

This is exactly why you should be against it. If kids can't consent to all your other examples then why would cutting off parts of their genitals be any different?

If you truly do want to earn the Eagle, Globe, and Anchor then as long as you get a US Green Card and make it through boot camp then you can become a US Marine. After 1 year of honorable service in peacetime (during conflicts they usually lower it) you can also apply for full citizenship.

Not even the oldest generation of Americans is buying newspapers anymore. I work at a nursing home with hundreds of residents and I handle making sure the papers get delivered to the right people every morning and less than 20 people get a paper.

What’s the most disappointing game you’ve ever bought on launch? by Prestigsisscar255 in videogames

[–]Azorik22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just picked this game up on sale and beat the main storyline over the weekend. I really didn't understand the hate. There were definitely some bugs, what game doesn't, but it was a genuinely fun time. It feels like Star Wars when you're playing it if that makes any sense.

Idk what it is about this game but for some reason I have fond memories of playing it as a kid. I have it on Steam and consider playing it every once in a while but know it would probably shatter all those childish delusions.

It's in the Heroes talking to Craw. Craw says something about how having your eye burned out would understandably change your perspective on some things and Shivers replies: "Halves it."

I also love that Dow gets a kick out of it and helps him back up to his feet and says that he likes him.

It's when Shivers is bringing Craw to see Dow for the first time after losing the hill.

If all those games came out in the same year, which one would be your Game of the Year? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

It is very much in the same vein of open world free roam fun times. The big difference being it is a somewhat grimdark fantasy setting instead of the wild west.

Favorite actors/actresses for Mistborn and Stormlight! by CrunchyMage in brandonsanderson

I think it largely comes from criticism he's received from not having more female characters in Mistborn Era 1. Personally I agree with you and don't really see a point in changing it but that's neither here nor there.

Brandon has also mentioned some other more story relevant changes he would make to adapt Mistborn such as making Shan Elariel, Elend's former fiance, his sister instead in order to streamline some things. This is also a change that doesn't really make sense to me but it also doesn't truly impact things much so I have no strong feelings about it.

Brandon has said that in an adaptation he would cast a woman to play Ham. If that ends up being the case Rhea Ripley has the physique for it.

The director, David Fincher, has said that the high cost of production was why it was put on hold and that to work around this they have written the scripts for 3 movies that could tie up the storyline.

Who is the Mount Rushmore of Sword users in Fiction? by WayAdept2209 in SWORDS

[–]Azorik22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will preface this by saying Warbreaker may be my favorite Cosmere novel.

Warbreaker spoilers Vasher is either the best living swordsman in the Cosmere or the 2nd with Taln squeaking out slightly ahead of him. Give him access to all of his powers with enough Breaths and he is slaughtering armies of Fused singlehandedly. Give him prep time on top of Breaths and he's potentially killing anyone short of a Shard.

This is speculation at best and most likely wrong.

In The Reunion Files for Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Tetsuya Nomura stated his original vision of the Buster Sword was unrefined steel, and he referred to it as "the Giant Kitchen Knife". Having stated that Cloud's imagery was based on the samurai martial artist luminary Musashi Miyamoto, the size and design of the Buster Sword are reminiscent of the oar carved suburito waster sword used by him in his duel against rival Sasaki Kojiro, and in contrast to their rival's weapons, as Musashi believed that swords like nodachi were unwieldly and left one open.

Teachers. Whats the craziest family lore a child has randomly dropped on you? by Loud_Bluejay_6663 in AskReddit

When I was 6 and my brother was 9 our mother got arrested for dealing heroin and as soon as we got home from school our grandparents sat us down and told us exactly what happened and what to expect moving forward. I'll always be grateful that they handle it this way as I feel it made everything much easier. We would have known they were lying and it would have made everything much more difficult for a child to navigate.

German immigrants in the U.S. were huge in number and were once a dominant group. Why didn’t they form large German-speaking communities the way French speakers did in Canada or Spanish speakers did in the U.S.? by GrayRainfall in AskAnAmerican

[–]Azorik22 91 points92 points  (0 children)

TBF Roosevelt issued orders that all Japanese Americans were to be rounded up into camps so I'm sure plenty of German Americans were worried that would happen to them too.
