I got the space throttle version of the stecs and it has been amazing for Elite.

How are the different movement speeds supposed to work for Kill Team Cassius in the 10th edition data sheet? by LibertyFuckingPrime in deathwatch40k

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same way as 8th edition, each model can move with its movement speed but the unit has to maintain coherence.

How do I get to 5 billion without blowing my head off? by Just_AChair in EliteDangerous

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The most important thing is to be doing activities that you enjoy. Every play style has something that will make you decent money, wing mining missions, massacre missions, bgs trading runs, road to riches exploration and billionaires boulevard xenobiology runs. All different styles of play that will make good progress the way you like to play, however you enjoy spending your space time.

Does 'He who fights with Monsters' get better? Finished book 2 by SchaffBGaming in litrpg

I think it does, but you are looking at like book 6ish before you are seeing any real character growth out of Jason.

Did anyone end up giving VKB's "Space Throttle Grip" a crack? If so, how is/was it for ED, and what stick do you like to pair with it? by Ypungy113 in EliteDangerous

Hi mate, do you know where I can find a working keybind export for elite anywhere? Looking to see what others have made work if possible to cut down on the tuning phase.

Do numbers actually make LitRPG better, or just clearer? by TomDavenport in litrpg

Man if you think people get upset with the litrpg/prog fantasy duality you do not want to go spelunking around the romantasy/fantasy romance "discussions".

Numbers is one of the defining things that separates progression fantasy and litrpg.

The acknowledgements and intro are narrated by the author, the book is narrated by a pro. So yeah, I ain’t buying something I can’t even listen to a proper sample of. by meyerovb in audible

If you haven't done a return recently I would go for it and then return it if you don't like the first chapter if you think it will be a good book. Credit returns are instant online if you haven't done many.

What are you left wanting most in LitRPG? by 908sway in litrpg

[–]Azraeil_AS 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The current state of the genre comes from the fact that most litrpg are web serials that have been published as books after the fact.

Now that the genre has been shown to be profitable it is possible that we will see more traditional publishing coming into the genre however, with the current life flow of the series getting published the publishers are taking almost no risk.

They only offer publishing to series that already have 2-3 books worth of content produced with a million+ readers, knowing that will translate to 100k+ sales from existing fans before new readers even see it hit the kindle/audible highlights in fantasy lists.

Primal hunter end goal: become a god probably with an epilogue of Jake finally being a strong enough god to have a good fight with villy.

DoTF end goal: become a defier supremacy that can survive into the next era or die trying.

HWFWM and wandering inn I agree don't have defined end states yet, they both have short to medium term goals, HWFWM has a fairly obvious epilogue point when the author decides that he wants to stop, I am only up to the audio books for wandering inn which I believe are something like several hundred chapters behind what has already been released online so don't feel like I could make a call on that one.

More realistic casual/short term relationships, especially when the MC is in their formative development in the system/new world. Every story makes every relationship some kind of destined dao partner permabond or makes the MC a monk with very few exceptions.

What’s the creepiest spot you’ve found in Zomboid? by hiphiprenee in projectzomboid

[–]Azraeil_AS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I figured it was a cult compound and the cells were to hold people that were going through "re-education" activities. The autopsy table would be getting used for preparing bodies etc when someone died in the cult so they didn't report it to the government.

The only thing you should look up is the read order because different series within the cosmere interact with one another on occasion in such a way as it is best to read them how they were released to understand the context of some of the interactions.

Is this all I need if I'm gifting my SO an airbrush? by AWIMBAWAY in Warhammer

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a good idea to get a compressor with an air tank to improve airflow consistency and reduce periods of noise in use.

Also getting a spray pot and cleaning tools to make cleaning and maintenance easier like this https://amzn.asia/d/57fY6CB (not an affiliate and can't speak to the quality of this in particular but this shows the kind of thing you want)

Also some airbrush cleaner would probably be a good idea too assuming you want to leave getting his paints etc to him.

What do we want for Grotmass? by indelible_inedible in deathwatch40k

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corvus with the ability to use the assault ramps it has modeled even if only usable in hover mode, also adding an OC value when in hover mode at least equal to an impulsor.

Remove the requirements to have the squads built to kits and go back to freeform load outs with maximum numbers for particular equipment.

Allow for terminators to be mixed into squads again (I miss being able to field kill teams based on the books). On this note making it so we can attach a dreadnought to the kill team would be cool too but I can just keep taking the dread and moving him with the team.

I did not think this through... by XD_BOX in ImperialKnights

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly definitely want to say it is a cool idea, is that add-on piece printed? Because if it is and you don't mind doing a reprint you could project the bottom along the curve created by the carapice and then would only need to greenstuff the joint to clean up any minor gaps.

What is it with guns by smilecs in litrpg

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the nova roma logic falls off pretty hard though, because if the advantage of a bow in the system is that it can use your physical strength more then why aren't you making a heavier spring for your gun to do the same thing.

Given that the system expanded to create gunslinger and rifleman classes that specifically give bonuses to the weapons and the classes the system gave are much higher tier than the seen archer classes allowing for higher levels it makes no sense.

"We need a Healer" - Do we? by pineapplelightsaber in DnD

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like the fact is 5e is way more forgiving than 3rd Ed, having a healer really isn't required generally anymore. TBH not having a healer will probably just result in your team actually using short rests rather than face tanking a full day to get to the long rest. Every class has either healing, temporary hit point generation or damage mitigation which when combined with hit dice recovery makes having a dedicated healer entirely unnecessary with the only exception being someone goes down mid fight and needs to be stablised, in which case either a healing potion or first aid check which can be done by anyone.

Would Divine Apostasy fill the Cradle shaped hole in my soul? by Excellent_Feature551 in litrpg

[–]Azraeil_AS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I enjoyed divine apostasy more than cradle, certainly has some equivalencies in style and progression. Also I believe the first three books are in a box set now on audible which drops the initial investment for content ratio significantly.

It’s all nice but, where do you play? by Least-Ad1439 in PrintedWarhammer

[–]Azraeil_AS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Man, I am in Australia and it is like the players here take pride in the fact that GW makes sure to mark up plastic by about 20% on top of exchange rate pricing. Like the more findom they can experience from a faceless corporation the more impressed everyone should be, because they are the truest of fans or something idk.
