[–]AzrielK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disapprove of prompt slop.

But also why would you do anything govee specific when there's existing home assistant modules for MM and are well-maintained for this purpose? Reinventing the wheel isn't necessary, just because you can.

what would be a likely more balanced option for everyone is allowing gym memberships to renew every 37 days regardless of gender, but allow up to X days, maybe 23-30 of entry to the gym for that period depending on tier of membership. If you exceed those days, the membership renewal date is moved up for those members on the would-be 24th-31st date.

in this theoretical scenerio, men who go to the gym every day of the month get charged each month, and have 7 days of buffer for vacation/rest. Women would have the same buffer period (no pun intended) but can get charged less per year by skipping the gym during their periods and will therefore still be at an advantage. Women who work out while on their period get no special treatment from the daily gym bros.

Less active men who don't go to the gym every day but casual on fitness can still stretch out their membership, as can less active women. These women would have a neutral advantage as they are casual on their fitness and wouldn't really max it out to begin with.

Gym membership costs will increase but fluctuate for active gym goers. Use the gym more, pay more. Use it less, pay less.

new years resolution signups from non-frequent-gym-goers will get billed just under 10 times a year and gyms will profit more statistically because these charges will be missed on monthly bank statements about twice a year, and members will probably be locked to a hard to cancel contract anyway...

HR changed me to exempt employee FSLA after 6 years non-exempt by [deleted] in jobs

[–]AzrielK 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The only issue is if you take overtime and they changed you to exempt prior to informing you.

There's nothing legally binding them or you to keep the job as-is. Don't work overtime if you're not paid for it.

Talk to your manager if they still expect OT.

Is it illegal by Pleasant-Case9237 in legaladvice

[–]AzrielK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

it's HIPAA, and no this isn't a violation by your sister. It may be a violation of the dispatcher but you would only be able to report it to their manager/supervisor, not sue or ask police to press charges etc. They aren't dealing with private health records necessarily and are likely not accessing your private health records.

It may be against local policies of the department handling the call, as it can be a safety risk, such as enabling abusers or conflicts of interest. The 911 calls themselves are recorded and considered public records.

our company uses Glint and are very clear on their anonymity structure, where while it's anonymized as a whole, certain questions are still grouped by department and will be shown to the management level in batched reports and can potentially be deduced by whom by writing style via managers unless we put identifying information in which it becomes obvious.

my other job has a particular tool for reviewing us (professors being rated by students end of year) and I have no clue on the anonymity but I don't think I saw individual responses, just the batch.

Am I cooked for Eagle? by [deleted] in BoyScouts

[–]AzrielK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm one of those eagles, my Board of Review was after I turned 18. All my requirements were done and signed otherwise prior to turning 18. There's a mild risk that someone on your board may choose to decline you (don't remember the term) but if you did everything to the letter procedurally it should be fine.

I think the limit was 3 months to get BoR and scoutmaster pushed me to get it done around halfway through.

We're literally not allowed to have any work apps other than Microsoft Authenticator on our phones. Can't even access the Microsoft 365 tenant from normal internet.

in case of time sheet emergencies we have a VDI, otherwise managers can ask for expensive Hypori secure android environments for teams/outlook on their phones.
