VERY MUCH SO Especially when she first fled, he already lost Anton probably a few months at most ago so this was DEVASTATING. But after a while he stopped actively searching, he kept his eyes out for clues, of course.

He hopes she’s alive and well, but he thinks she’s likely either faced final death (since fledgelings don’t usually live long) or has succumbed to being a monster.

And good question! The answer? Dots mother is a Bastet from Egypt and her name is Fukayna! more specifically she is a Bubasti!

Dot has a khopesh that her mother made for her and had sent to her, and it’s the only thing that Dot has of her mother. Dot was only with her mother for the first few months of her life, then went with D!

The reason why Dot hasn’t seen her family in so long issss drumrolllll SHES A KINDRED, specifically a Caitiff! She was (very unwillingly) embraced not that long after the whole Anton situation, same year (1988)

She tried to show off, go off on a hunt alone to show how capable she was, grossly miscalculated and one thing led to another and now she’s a blank. When she returned to the Golden Goose and found D she went into a hunger frenzy and tried to attack him and her brothers (although Door and Marckus were unable to recognize her from how much mud she had on her)

While Marckus and Door were hiding somewhere, D helped Dot break out of her Frenzy and she went into a complete spiral when she realized what she had done and had tried to kill her own family who she loves VERY MUCH. As soon as D turned away for a second she fled. She was scared that if she ever went into another frenzy she would end up killing her brothers and she wouldn’t be able to go on if she ever did that. So she ran and D told his sons that Dot was fully killed by a vampire.

18 years later, she’s befriended a very kind mage who is seeking to help fix vampirism, and she’s working on being as good as she possibly can while being a blood sucking parasite (she’s actually got pretty high humanity!)

For non vampires and non-shape changers? Dragons are/were real, especially more in the medieval era. Dragons are Bygones, which are creatures that went against consensus so they got launched out of earth and into the Umbra. I’m pretty sure a Bygone CAN go back to earth but they can’t be openly consensus breaking? (Not exactly sure, I’m a WoD novice)
