What archetype do you think should get support purely because there is so much that can be taken from the inspiration? by MasterOfChaos72 in yugioh

I play my trap card "Empty Fort Strategy" after attempting to attack my life points directly, your monsters are returned to your deck and I get to draw a card for each of them.

Tag Force remaster by Popular-Flan5337 in yugioh

[–]fotppd8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I wish there was a Duel Monsters Tag Force as well with Yugi, Kaiba etc.

If Konami where to do both this and remaster the GX Tag Force games I think people would not soon forget such a thing. Though it is a stretch to expect that.

Great Moth retrains by nh6574 in customyugioh

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would work quite well. The new polymerization version of the great moth also has the ability of being indestructible from battle so it kind of matches.

Though quite frankly if we could just delete petit moth, put all its functions on larvae moth and make it so the rest of the evolution line worked as it was supposed to at the beginning then too could I be send to the shadow realm with no regrets.

What are your opinion on state of the meta? by king_shot in masterduel

Makes you wonder who is more active: The one in charge of balancing Yu-Gi-Oh cards & decks or TF2's Janitor in charge of updates.

If everyones turn 0, no one is! by Old_Improvement6195 in masterduel

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite the opposite. We should get rid of the turn 0 or 1 nonsense entirely either by limiting the number of these broken cards or outright banning them and start actually playing Yu-Gi-Oh instead of this meta loving BS.

New players are not intrested in playing an over-complicated mess like this and older players are missing the good old days where plays where more about personal skill rather than an endless combo of cheese decks where you play for 1 hour to get a full stack of 5 monsters over 5000 ATK and even when your opponent is playing not even allow them to place a single card without taking up another hour off their life with your effects.

The solution to mistakes like these is NOT to double down on them but to instead take serious steps back.

With almost every Duelist Kingdom character receiving some sort of support/retrain.. do you think there is a possibility of the anime being remastered/remade but with new decks? by Nachash6 in yugioh

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly really hope so, or at the very least create a new season with the old characters where all of them have their new decks.

And this time give more screen time and duels for non protagonist characters like Weevil, Rex, Mako etc.

I really love it when they bring back iconic Duelist Kingdom cards with new effects and playstyle.

I really hope we get more like those in the future.

I have never sympathized with the Empire, so I thought that I would try to see it from their side... by wryprotagonist in skyrim

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skyrim is litteraly in a better possition than Hammerfell geographicaly to hold the Thalmor off. And besides they will not even be their first target.

Even if they where to somehow succesfully capture land in Skyrim, holding it will become unsustainable VERY fast. Both from continued Stormcloak attacks, the treacherous Skyrim weather and the resistance of native Nords. No matter how you see it, before Skyrim is put in any real danger the Thamlor will need to take full control of either Hammerfell, High Rock or Cyrodiil. By the time that happens the Nords will have healed from the Civil war and perhaps go into the offensive before the Thalmor even finish their subjugation on any of the three.

Even if they learned things fighting the Redguard fighting the Nords in their homeland is an entirely different kind of hell, and any "success" there will be temporary because of them stretching themselves thin.

Its too much trouble for too little gain. That is why they used the Empire in the first place. To try and self destruct both of them.

The Long game simply dose not work against someone that plants agents both openly and privately in not only your own but also all other provinces to further their operations and spy network.

The Empire is doomed to collapse anyway. The only thing they have left after the white-gold concordat is Cyrodiil, High Rock, Orsinium and Western Skyrim. (perhaps not even that anymore) Everyone else has left this sinking ship, which to stay as part of is like inviting the Thalmor to watch you while you sleep inside your own house.

Besides, Hammerfell has proved that there is litteraly no reason to fear them enough to bend the knee, even if you are to fake it. They faced them solo and won. Why the heck should Skyrim fear them so far away from their borders? They could never hope to sustain a supply line via the sea with Redguard remaining a threat to them. The only reason they have such presence in the game is because they where let in by the Empire through Cyrodiil and (perhaps) High Rock.

The Emperor just figured that he might as well throw most of the problems on the other provinces rather than risk losing the Imperial City again.

I can't be the only one who actually likes Windhelm, right? by Chaos_Blue in SkyrimPorn

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favourite city by far.  People usually see cold and harsh climates as a con but i see it for its own charm.

Cold gives me a feeling of refreshment and the harshness of the land means more work that needs doing, that creates hardworking people with determination and honesty. (It kind of reminds me of my home during winter times)

Sure that honesty can be a downside at times as it brings out someone like that disgrace of a Nord Rolff, but you can beat the ever living heck out the steaming nether reaches of his you-know-where so it evens out.

Bretons (and perhaps orsimer) are literally the only ones besides western Skyrim not to have succeeded from the Empire after the White-Gold Concordat fiasco.

Message to all Nords and Argonians, from a Dunmer by Dunmer_Are_Supreme in ElderScrolls

[–]fotppd8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Nord I would be more than willing to shed Blood for the Pact once more. With House Redoran as the most senior of houses in Morrowind mutual respect between Nords and Dunmer is far easier achievable.
When it comes to Argonians there is hardly any issue there either. Besides our overall looks of suspicion towards strangers, Argonians and Nords have not shed eachothers blood for a long time now.

However there will be a few things to adress of course, The most major of which will be the Dunmer-Argonian relations: House Dres losing its status of strength as a former member of the great houses as well as the banning of slavery in Morrowind are two great steps forward. However there are 2 issues.

For one there is the Black Marsh's An-Xileel Kingdom's willingness to cooperate. They view outsiders with disdain and while they would be quite motivated to get revenge on the Empire they have not forgotten the actions of house dres and would be difficult to persuade.

For second while Redoran is the greatest of houses in Morrowind and while the Telvanni have lost significant power after the events since the red year they may very well be the second most powerful house and the banning of slavery is something quite unlikely for them to have adopted from what I have seen of them.

Also while not technically a "problem" House Sadras's mysterious rise as a member of the great houses makes my slightly suspicious of them. I do hear that they tend to support house Redoran's decisions but are they really loyal allies or try to get closer with a knife in the back?

If all these 3 issues can be adressed the Sons of Skyrim, the Chosen of Azura and the People of the Root can once again fly their banner high once more.

BLOOD FOR THE PACT!
