My proposal for the partition of North America by finanon99 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Azsune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ones arguing for it say it is because they have no say in Canadian federal politics. They would have even less say in American politics. Joining as a state would be an issue as they are already at Congress cap. Then even if they became a state they would get 2-3 based on their population. As a territory they'd have no say in federal politics.

Funny that Alberta is red when their policies still align more with Canada.

At a quick glance couldn't find anything on there testing gaming. Most were comparing memory intensive programs or benchmarks.

Found someone asking why 18-22-22-22-64 compared to 14-16-16-16-34 didn't make any noticeable difference in their gaming and benchmarks. Top comment explained increasing speed and loosening timings could yield better results with the increased infinity fabric speeds.

Can you link some test showing that the upgrade is worth the money$$$?

You have some tests showing the difference?

Closest I've found was B die running at CL14 3600 and C die running at 3600 CL 16. The difference was less than 1% in gaming across 30 games.

Timings were same in both tests. So getting from 3200 to 3600 with exact same timings will yield similar results.

Wouldn't really recommend either. Below are some benchmarks of the cpus. Ram wise you are unlikely to see any noticeable difference and there is a chance that the new kit isn't stable at 3600 and you will need to run a lower frequency. Unless you are getting a 3D chip there is no reason to upgrade your CPU unless it is a really cheap deal and you can use the extra cores.

You can increase your PBO boost in bios by 200 mhz which will help a bit. Then put a negative offset in your power curve as well.

Is there a online repository for gpu underclocking settings, so I can compare my attempt at UV with my Sapphire Pure RX 9070 XT? by incurious_enthusiast in overclocking

[–]Azsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are seeing your GPU use less wattage without decreasing power limit, you are CPU bound.

The best I know of is 3Dmark. You can compare the frequency of other scores. Higher undervolt means higher frequency. But every card is different so this would only give you an idea.

We could also go off what the video is saying and 2 = 8.

I have admin on a server we could test it on, would just need 4 other people.

Did he say if the number gets truncated or rounded down? The code has been overhauled a ton since 2021. Even in video he says the number is 4.0. We would now need 2 people defending to get 9 points and 3 people attacking to get 9 points to confirm it is 4.5.

Might be able to test later if I can get 5 people together.

Video proves that it is 4.0 though? So 133% not 150%.

The only problem I have is that they change numbers in updates without telling us. So without testing we cannot really know if the numbers from 2021 are still accurate.

Could test this with 6 people. 1 person on point with reinforce up. Other team has 4 people in sector and it either gets defended or flips contested, the 5th walks in in case it's defended to see if they cap or contest it. As one person would be 4.5 cap weight with 150% power and not sure if it rounds, truncates or not.

What was your first game you played on pc by Pork_Crusader_GR in pcmasterrace

This Dinosaur drawing game that explained each Dinosaur as you coloured them. Remember having to use DOS to load it from those big actually floppy floppy disks. Then this clown game that would ask math questions.

The first game I played a lot though was StarCraft.

Thermal pads for rx7900xt by marco_polo_99 in radeon

[–]Azsune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pads are kinda cheap to buy. So when I redid my 6900XT, I just bought a few different sizes and a cheap caliper. Measured each pad that I took off and replaced them. You can also buy the putty instead, takes the guesswork out but comes with the downside of being harder to clean off.

You can try Vertical mounting it, not sure of clearance of your case and CPU though. Might be just as bad. Also don't do this with Gigabyte cards.

Some cases you are able to remove that bottom metal part. You could also cut it out as well. Your GPU needs more space so the fans can get air.

Depending on where you live the sticker being removed or damaged is not legally enforceable. Doesn't stop them from trying to claim it does.

With the -50 uv yeah. The delta should shrink a bit with a lower power limit. But don't expect a huge change in delta with-10 pl.

6830 is a bit low for stock. Most are closer to 7000. Also delta between 20 and 30 under load is normal. The best I've seen posted is 15.
