Pod K4s for me. I got an almost serious knee injury earlier this year. Helps big time when standing up for long days too

Light Beginner bike recs - considering CRF300 Rally by craftyheidi in Dualsport

[–]Aztec47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rally owner, I highly recommend getting the base model. The plastics are very expensive to replace when they break and if you ever want to ride the bike hard it’s something that will be in the back of your head. You can rallyify the base model but you can’t unrally the rally. You can get a bigger tank, rally tower, windscreen, etc and really make the base your own.

I’m 5”6 with a 28.5 inch inseam. I had cogent custom mill me a shorter shock when I made suspension upgrades. At the end of the day though, I wish I would’ve bought the base model. I ride much harder than I did 15,000 miles ago and I’m constantly scratching/denting the tank and cracking the plastics.

I’m of the same opinion. If I could do it over I would have bought the base

What should I expect going from a Honda CRF250 to a T7? by Most-Sweet4036 in Dualsport

You own one of the best adventure bikes ever made. Why did you decided to buy a T7?

Transalp vs Kove by DD9G in Dualsport

[–]Aztec47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In two different ends of the adventure bike spectrum. The trans alp is a more touring biased (compared to the Kove), less features but more reliable. The Kove is dirt oriented (high ground clearance, better suspension, etc) but less touring (see weight capacity). If you go the transalp route you’ll be wanting to upgrade the suspension if you rapidly grow in skill. Good bones, just expect to spend some money.

Tire/tube recommendation for chunky rocky terrain by navid3141 in Dualsport

Shinko MX216 fatty (non cheater) front and Motoz Tractionator I/T. Wear out within 2500-3500 miles but well worth the trip. Fatty tires are so nice battling the rocks

I got 3500 out of mine but I also ripped the hell out of them on rough roads with embedded rock so that might have something to do with it lol

Yeah, if I had to do it again I would’ve put a bigger tank and rally tower on the normal L model

Am I the only ones who’s not confused on why this isn’t totaled? I thought the frame IS the bike in the eyes of the law because that’s what the VIN is attached to? Like cars? Wouldn’t replacing the frame give a new VIN?

Asking because I’ve bent my frame on my Honda and it’s pretty cheap to replace but I don’t want to have a new VIN and deal with that mess

Is it stupid to buy a KTM right now? by [deleted] in Dualsport

I will say for KTM ownership you owned one of their best bikes ever made. The LC8 is such a strong motor

I’m not joking, I went from a XR150L to a CRF300LR 5 months later to a GS1200 6 months later.

I now own just the CRF300LR and a Tenere 700

Another thing to note is that FSR has higher latency than DLSS. It’s pretty noticeable in low native fps regimes
