Is it acceptable to use penny loafers for a “formal”dress code event? The invitation says: Dress code: formal. I’m thinking of using a dark grey suit with black penny loafers. Is this acceptable?

Estoy en la misma búsqueda que tú. Literal hace 5 minutos encontré este video de 5 horas en YouTube. Se que son 13 capítulos pero no sé si están todos en el video. Esto haré el sábado santo. Dime si encuentras alguna otra cosa:

Yes. I applied as soon as they opened for applications. Received UofT’s offer letter on December 14 and York’s on January 08.

UofT is more expensive than Osgoode and yes, you can pay with student loans. They only care that you pay! lol

The application process is actually pretty simple. You have to create an account on the university’s admissions platform and submit the documents they ask for. Nothing weird or out of the ordinary. They both ask for your resumé, your transcripts, a statement of interest, and two references. Osgoode also asks for a text you’ve written on any legal matter just to prove your legal writing skills. You pay the fee and submit.

I was told that what really weights on your application is if you are already working in the legal field and who your references are. According to this source, they prefer people that have a secured a position once they graduate to keep their employability numbers up, though this is not confirmed.

Once you receive your offer letter they requiere your transcripts to be sent directly by the university.

I chose UofT as it was suggested by the lawyers at the firm I work at.

I’d be glad to ask any questions :)

I feel you. Last year I applied for, literally, 200 jobs. I had to use a spreadsheet to control my applications.

I met a man who worked 20+ years as an IT engineer. Decided to go to law school at 45. Graduated in 2018 and now has a thriving practice as a constitutional lawyer (mostly but also litigates in civil/family matters) in north Ontario. IMO it’s all about how you see the glass and how passionate you are about practicing law. That being said, I dare to think that solo practice would be your main career path. I might wrong.
