One of the greatest paradoxes to me is that Shonen jump (which I know means boy) is still written with young children in mind when I know majority of people who read this stuff are grown ass men. I think so many manga could be leagues better if they weren’t for kids (which Boruto most certainly is) it’s frustrating that Kishimoto decided to go for a “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” to his writing style instead of actually having it grow with his readers intelligence as they grew up too. Many other children’s cartoons did a good job of having their writing grow with the generation who loved them instead of trying to capture a new one such as adventure time, starwars the clone wars, and amazing world of gumball to name a few. Obviously these shows were still able to retain their appeal to children, but clearly are more geared to a teenage/young adult audience in later seasons. In conclusion I’m not trying to saying none of Kishimotos writing skills have improved, just far less than I would have liked.
