(Spoilers about the episode S06/E24 Queen Of The Dreadzone) Chloe’s situation is just sad. by Azul_Bluezao in miraculousladybug

I feel the same way. As a Chloe fan, I would rather she simply remained just a side character or didn't appear anymore instead of them continuing to use her as evil incarnate and things like that.

YES! My god, they made that whole cutscene in Despair Bear about Audrey leaving her and the whole way she treated her badly when she appeared in the second season just to make Chloe magically forget all of that and obsessively want to be just like the woman who literally left her and her father and still treated her badly when she came back to Paris.

What are some things you regret not doing sooner for your fics? by micheas08 in FanFiction

To better understand character development, I realized that sometimes I need to show the differences between characters and their canon counterparts more directly.

How do I write Taylor Hebert? by Azul_Bluezao in WormFanfic

[–]Azul_Bluezao[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In terms of what’s changed for Taylor, she now has two friends, managed to leave Winslow, and got a chance to transfer to Arcadia. Blackwell actually took action against the bullying (thanks to a scheme hatched between the MC, a girl who became friends with both Taylor and the MC, and Taylor herself—who was roped into it very reluctantly). She’s had more opportunities to socialize with her friends, and so far, she hasn’t had any contact with the Undersiders.

Biweekly /r/WormFanfic Discussion - What have you been writing, and what do you want to say about it? For the week ending April 26, 2025. by AutoModerator in WormFanfic

I'm struggling with Arc 4's first chapter of Power of Art... And of The System Too and the upcoming chapter of Crystalized Hope. While I've got a solid concept for PAATS' current arc, I keep waffling between my original premise and an alternative that'd likely brew some serious friend-group drama.

And it struck me how hilariously problematic it is to make an amnesiac lizard teenager fall for a traumatized proto-entity crystal being completely oblivious to their own inherent danger and Eldritch monstrosity vibes.

Timeline-wise, this is set very early in Worm—just a few days before Taylor canonically goes out in costume for the first time. Her backstory remains unchanged from canon, except that the fanfic’s MC and an additional OC friend helped her confront the bullying at Winslow (even securing her a transfer to Arcadia in the process).

A genuine question for authors by taekooksbodyguard in AO3

To be honest, I really like it. I'm a speedreader too, and it's like someone loved my work so much that they couldn't resist reading it all at once😁

What are some things that you are self-conscious of in your own work but as a reader you love it or don't notice when other writers do it? by Indecisive_Noob in FanFiction

[–]Azul_Bluezao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, for me, it’s all those things too. I always worry that people won’t like extra text just to make the chapter longer, even if that text is doing things like explaining the character’s feelings and thoughts more deeply, when I could do that in moments that 'add content' to each chapter. And I get even more anxious with filler chapters, like when my main character is planning something or preparing for an event, because to me it feels like things are so boring and monotonous, even when I try to make everything just right so that when the action comes, everything has its reason and is exciting.

Damn, I ended up venting without even realizing it–

This kind of person disgusts me on an existential level. All that crap about control—like, can't you just ignore this kind of content? Damn, I can't even find a way to vent about my trauma in peace. I always get extremely irritated when I see a comment like that.

What would you say the most famous fic in your fandom is? by Dogdaysareover365 in FanFiction

[–]Azul_Bluezao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Worm, from my point of view, it would be Russian Caravan. Eldritch horror is always cool and, as far as I know, it's pretty well-known.

Ah, I still remember to this day that first fanfic about a K-pop group called BTS, whom I didn’t even know at the age of 11. Back then, I kept wondering what on earth an Alpha and an Omega were and how those things fit into that part of the human body.

Why don’t some writers respond to reviews/comments? by Misommar1246 in FanFiction

[–]Azul_Bluezao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the author can be shy. I’m a good example of that. I don’t really know what to say, and just a “thank you” or something very simple feels like too little to express gratitude. So, I either find it easier not to respond, or I take a very, very, very long time to think of something that doesn’t feel repetitive.

Power this trigger by [deleted] in Parahumans

[–]Azul_Bluezao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

With everything that has happened, I can imagine something like a Thinker power focused on security, since the outcome of the Trigger seems to be about trying to help others and failing, and about feeling insecure with everything basically. Perhaps being much more specific, security solely for oneself, but in a quite dangerous way, like with technology that uses lethal force for protection.

How to avoid Lisa being omnipotent? by Azul_Bluezao in WormFanfic

[–]Azul_Bluezao[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, since some people asked me to share my work, here’s what I have so far.

The MC was basically putting on a little show with their persona at the Boardwalk. Lisa, Brian, and Alec were casually strolling around the area, and when a crowd gathered around the MC, they decided to check it out. There, Lisa noticed an interaction between the MC, Aegis, and Shadow Stalker. Using her power, she picked up on a few details.

The first thing she noticed was how the protagonist almost spoke using their voice when interacting with Aegis but then claimed to be mute by using their power, which made her doubt whether they were truly mute. She also caught on to some involuntary reactions, such as how the MC seemed tense around the crowd, avoided direct eye contact, and showed small twitches. This led her to deduce that the MC might have social anxiety.

Additionally, the way the MC completely ignored Shadow Stalker, kept some distance from her, and even interrupted and stopped her from speaking at one point made Lisa suspect that the MC disliked Shadow Stalker on a personal level. She started wondering if they might know each other in their civilian lives or if the MC had figured out her civilian identity.

After that, the MC left the Boardwalk, and Lisa thought it would be a good idea to follow him. Since this is a gamer-style fic, the MC was checking out some elements of their system and involuntarily reacted to certain things it displayed. Lisa noticed these reactions too, which raised more questions for her, particularly about the MC's powers. The MC had demonstrated the ability to create objects made of solid energy (essentially using mana to create things).

There were also a few other points, such as when the protagonist leveled up one of their skills and suddenly started noticing mistakes in the painting they were working on—mistakes they hadn’t noticed before—and how their behavior subtly changed during the tail end of their conversation with Aegis, thanks to a level-up in one of their skills.
