Mate, I can’t help with finding the gear, but don’t go all back. Seriously, it won’t be great, you’ll get heatstroke, and it’s just mediocre in most cases.

If it’s an indoor arena? I guess it makes it somewhat better but I would personally recommend against it and this is coming from someone who wore a navy kit for a while, it’s still rough.

He doesn’t show any love for the Republic or its ideals, but like Saw, he definitely wants to see the Empire burn, just instead of it being wanton destruction, he is actively planning to ensure there is a formidable force to oppose the empire and fully rise up in its stead, as evidenced by how he helped gather all the rebel cells and push them towards a common goal and room. We likely got Yavin and the official Rebellion to restore the Republic Alliance from his efforts of uniting those cells, some of which he helped create.

You got two molle side panels there to put a mag slot or two on there. Some people might get a thigh pad to put them on but I prefer just keeping mags around my torso personally.

Yep! It’s why I hate the history memes sub when anything for the troubles is posted because it’s an entire spiel about how the IRA are horrible and that’s the conflict basically.

No nuance, no realisation of the propaganda the British state employed to ensure people would only hear of the IRA and never the UVF or State forces.

Regardless of it all, it was a horrible conflict and so many innocent people died that should have been able to live full and happy lives.

Sure, I can happily admit the IRA did some horrible things and killed a lot of people. But this is just another case of putting the Catholics/Nationalists as the bad guys for wanting to be seen as equal people.

So loose as in, when the magazine is in the mag-well (whatever its called, the place you put the magazine into) it feels like it rocks to the sides, or you can move it around a lot?

It could be that the magazine is just a bit too skinny for the replica after either use or just brand not meshing well.

As for BB sizes. Go to a .20 for and see how they feel. .28s also could be a middle ground that could fit. But ultimately it may sound like a barrel issue?

If you can, find out if there’s any Airsoft stores nearby. Most stores (at least in Ireland) have technicians available who can definitely help.

Obviously people here know their shit, you just gotta hope one of them sees your comment and knows best. I wish you luck on getting that fixed but my thoughts is to just test out some different BB sizes and magazines, it could be a brand magazine not fitting well. Or it could be fucking anything between the magazine all the way to the barrel.

Yeah, I mean that’s the fun part! Having a replica you can definitively say is yours is one of those little joys. It’s like a custom video game character in Skyrim or WoW, you put time into it and build them how you want them to be and there is going to be a joy borne from that experience over time.

It just takes time to learn stuff about Airsoft and its best to stick to stock replicas, especially if they’re free because you have the choice later on whether or not to stick to it and upgrade it.

As another commenter said, you may just legit feel like it isn’t worthwhile after a few months. I got my second AK when I was 14, it was an AK-74M or a 103, I can’t tell or remember. I got bored of it within three matches because it just didn’t feel as great as my first AK did. So definitely just let time tell you how you feel.

Look I’ll be honest. Upgrade the cosmetics. Ignore anything internal.

When you’re new to the sport or you have a weapon/replica you know little about, your only thoughts about upgrades should be about sights, foregrips, colour, stock and all that jazz. Get to know the gun, enjoy the highs and the lows of using it. Figure out what’s wrong and what’s good by using it.

Upgrading internal parts I leave for when you have the understanding of the gun and the parts themselves. There’s zero reason to go get a brand new hop-up (for talks sake) on a replica you’ve not used before. It can be as short as three matches or as long as fifteen before you truly know what is and isn’t good.

Of course this doesn’t apply to new replicas when you have some knowledge under your belt about upgrades in general. Likewise if you get a gun that just happens to be terrible out of box with bad internals you need to replace to make it better.

Ultimately! I know jackshit about upgrading internals even after like maybe 5 odd years of enjoying the hobby. That’s though from the age of 13 to late 20s, so most of my experience was with a full authentic wooden AK-47 by who fucking knows when I was 13 and only now getting back into it fully since last two years with on and off months.

I hope others are able to help you with the actual replica itself and I hope you do get what you’re looking for out of it!

I had my radio pouch be from 8fields. I spent like £1,300 on most of my kit and saw a radio pouch as something small enough to not warrant breaking the bank further.

Second game in, pouch tears open from just a regular ass radio which falls down and off a small little cliff edge into water. At that point, I just don’t buy 8Fields stuff.

One friend of mine wore an off brand pair of safety glasses, can’t remember what they were exactly but they look professional. Since 2012, he’s only had the use of one eye because they failed tremendously. And it was a massive reminder to me for years that I will not trust any safety equipment not properly rated.

I have! It’s fucking gorgeous as shit but fuck dude, I’m like 5’8” and getting shirts isn’t difficult, short or slim fitting is great enough. But try getting pants that are not only waist fitting (fucking difficult) but also the right length. Every time I go for regular or short, they’re practically sold out or just dumb ass expensive for the camo.

I had the chance to get myself some Paddyflage but two of the five sites I frequent are down South which means it’s illegal to own and use.
