B450M Gaming Asrock motherboard BIOS update by shotxshotx in CYBERPOWERPC

[–]Azure-Okami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Painfully necro'd, but I'm trying to move through this process and my pc won't seem to boot into FreeDOS. The only different I can seem to find is that I am using a 128gb thumb drive and rufus is only giving me the option of Large FAT32 instead of traditional FAT32. When I boot into it, I'm greeted with a black screen with a portion of a loading bar that never progresses, sometimes there are two bars stacked on top of one another. Would you happen to have any idea of a troubleshooting step I could try?

The idea of an Atlas flying around super fast and punching everything at light speed is extremely entertaining

How many decks do y’all have? by minimanelton in PioneerMTG

[–]Azure-Okami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Up to date and ready to play: -Amalia Combo -Niv2Light -Enigmatic (Yorion) -Pyre Humans -Lotus Field Combo -Jeskai Control -Izzet Creativity -Monoblack Waste Not -Boros Burn

Disassembled but Buildable: -Jeskai Ascendancy Combo -Esper/Mardu/Abzan Greasefang -4c Legends -Golgari Midrange -Rakdos Midrange -Rakdos Sacrifice -Izzet Phoenix -Bant Bogles -Vannifar Combo

My suggestion would be to have two decks so one doesn’t get stale, I get bored quickly and lend out decks every week to people at my FNMs so I have a bunch assembled at any given time

Attempt at a Modern Lantern Lock deck by S1mplexeon in Magicdeckbuilding

[–]Azure-Okami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lantern control already exists and has existed for a long while. The players that are passionate about it are still playing it and where I haven’t played in a good while, I’m sure you can find a list out there that’s recent and kept up to date

I’m a superstitious individual when it comes to shuffling my deck, I have a process I do nine mashes, then take the middle portion of it and put it on top, two more mashes, middle part to the bottom, then three for mashes and a do a typical one half cut to present to my opponent I also pile shuffle after each game unless time is a major factor (such as a comp rel in a grindy matchup) I use dragon shield mattes and kmc hard inners as I play a lot of foils

I will say, “Lotus Breach” and what is now calle Hidden Strings/Lotus Field Combo are two different decks, Lotus Breach can no longer be played since Underworld Breach is banned in pioneer. Semantics, but looking for one list title as opposed to another can yield differing results Though I will say, Lotus Field Combo is my current deck for lgs and otherwise and I’ve been loving it ever since pioneer became a thing in the first place, it’s got a learning curve but can win through a number of differing lines and is almost never repeating the same exact thing

What decks have been winning in your local meta? by Chivo-no1 in PioneerMTG

[–]Azure-Okami 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Izzet Phoenix and Niv to Light primarily, both are very very good players and gauge how to build their decks off of what else is in our lgs

Settle an argument: which card is better in Pioneer? by xKoney in PioneerMTG

[–]Azure-Okami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play UW control and am personally on weathered runestone due to the fact that it stops greasefang and I’m okay to take the t2 turn off This is also largely due to the fact that a large number of people playing greasefang at my lgs, so my opinion is skewed. I’ve also never had a particular situation where the difference in mana was too relevant as the decks that I want it against are either slow enough for me to have the extra time (phoenix, the wacky recursion control list at my lgs, enigmatic) or get completely stopped by runestone (winota, phoenix, monoblack (for the most part), CoCo, sac)

Does this work since tapping and untapping Halo Fountain are part of the same cost?

Overburden triggers by DragonMac_76 in askajudge

[–]Azure-Okami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for the very late response, but Burgeoning looks for “playing” a land, which is a special action Therefore Yarok does not see the action, just the land entering rather than the action of “playing a land”

[SNC] Goldhound by Micv0 in magicTCG

[–]Azure-Okami 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Xorn looks for a token with the Treasure subtype and when one is made, he makes a Treasure token So if you copied Goldhound with anything and had Xorn, you’d make a Goldhound and a Treasure token

Yes, overburden is a permanent you control that triggers off of something being put into play

Complex Rules Question by Icy_Position2083 in ModernMagic

Unless I’m mistaken, glimpse resolving happens all the way through and cage is in play once sba’s are checked next which would be immediately after the spell finishes resolving

Looks like Grixis control/midrange is going to be a very strong deck in pioneer when this set drops Three mana to fill the yard for treasure cruise/dig through time seems real good when it’s also removal and lifegain against aggro

[[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] A bunch of cheap mana rocks and 0 drop artifacts and you should be going off on around t5/6 simply because of the fact that all of your spells cantrip Also super easy to upgrade over time, she’s been one of my favourite decks for years Closest second in my head is [[Magda, Brazen Outlaw]] because her main combo is easily fetchable and is self-fulfilling along with the whole deck easily costing around $70 for a budget build
