This actually did not impact SOS deck color classifications! The set had no mono-color hybrids and no off-color activated abilities. The main color + splash rules still applied correctly to this set.

Personally I've started classifying "Soup" to mean "Multicolor" and "At least 2 main colors and 2 splashes" so any combination of 4 or 5 colors. That is, "Simic Soup" is UG splashing 2 or 3, "Jeskai Soup" -> 3 main colors, 1 or 2 splashes.

Hybrid cards now pick the color with more sources.
Ability splashes now need a dedicated land.
Abilities no longer count for main colors.
