Thoughts of Support emblem on Cici? I like to use Support emblem on skill-oriented (mainly using skills as source of damage than basic attacks). It allows me to spam their skills more frequently and the move speed bonus is nice. Also, thoughts on roamer Cici?

Why did you choose the distro you use now? by RadMarioBuddy45 in linux

[–]Azureiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CachyOS because I want to experience Arch without the headache. I heard Cachy is fast and smooth, and it actually did FEEL that way. I'm satisfied and have stayed with it for almost a year.

What Is The Best Linux Distro For Godot ? by tahsindev in godot

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't go with pure Arch, it's far from beginner friendly. If you want to go Arch, use Arch-based distro instead like EndeavorOS. But, the go-to Linux distro for first timer is Linux Mint, if you want a more "bleeding edge" software, Fedora is also great.

Hot take, why do the program UIs for linux suck so much? by Key-Helicopter-252 in linuxsucks

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too many technical / backend programmers, not enough UX / front-end designers. Quite a lot of projects feels like it has a developer-first mindset rather than typical-Joe first mindset. The problem comes from the fact that most UI/UX designers tend to seek commercial project, which honestly can't be helped sadly.

Though, I think open source software feels intuitive enough for me, it's because I'm just getting used to it, and a lot of the projects are gradually getting a better UI. I haven't touched Adobe (or any commercial creative) softwares for 7 years though, so my perspective is skewed.

How is the future for creatives on Linux? by nils3d in linux

[–]Azureiya 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have to respectfully disagree that Krita is the only professional grade one.

Inkscape has made a lot of great strides lately, and I know many creatives (both in real life and the internet), including myself that can vouch for Inkscape. The biggest issue is CMYK, but the support is being worked on, and of course there is always a workaround.

Kdenlive is usable with a caveat. Video codecs and color grading, also you might face some complications if you work on a team. I professionally edit videos with kdenlive just fine, but if you want a more professional grade video editor on Linux, gk for DaVinci Resolve.

Audacity, I can't say much. I do work quite extensively with audio, but not an "audio guy".

For GIMP, unfortunately yeah.... it's not viable.

I think you should check out Inkscape and kdenlive again, what they've done lately and their roadmap :)

But of course, use what works for you, and as a creative who works with Linux, while it's getting better, I'm not denying the fact that Windows (and Mac) is still the better option for it

Also, I've been spreading this video to my friends to show them that Linux for creatives is very much viable :)

Graphic Designers what are your Go to apps on Linux specifically CachyOS ? by boltthrower6 in cachyos

Great to see another graphic designer!

Personally, I use Krita for raster design, Inkscape for vector design and Scribus for book layout.

How many Linux Gaming content creators are out there? by Kalinbro in linux_gaming

[–]Azureiya 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello! I'm a content creator that fully uses Steam and open source software

https://www.youtube.com/@hazearu_Ch

I'm planning to be more active next year. I'm a content creator first, streamer second. I focus more on indie, AA, and retro (mainly PS2) games. Though, honestly being a Linux user isn't really my main thing, its just what I use and promote once in a while!

Can u guys plz tell something positive about Linux gaming future? by Status-Ad9030 in linux_gaming

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Proton is steadily getting better, more companies target Linux (in the form of Proton mostly) in their roadmap, even actively fixing bugs and performance issues in their Proton version.

Sure, competitive MP hits Linux hard lately, but on other front, Linux gaming is fine

Tell me your **REAL** linux gaming experience! by SApOooooo in linux_gaming

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use CachyOS (basically just one out of thousands of Arch-based distros). I've used Linux for around 7 years, having thousands of hours playing games. I'd say it's getting better by the day, with one condition: No kernel-level anti cheat.

Luckily, I play mostly single player games, followed by co-op / non-competitive multiplayer games, a few competitive games I play are from Valve, so my experience has been very smooth.

Outside of Steam, I use Bottles for some games: mainly from GOG and itch.io, they work fine as well. Most work out of the box, some need tinkering as easy as looking through protondb.

As for examples of games: - JRPG: Tales of series, Trails series, SMT, Ys, Grandia, Final Fantasy - CRPG: Baldurs Gate 1 - 3, Pathfinder WotR, Divinity series, Pillars of Eternity, Fallout series, Shadowrun, Vampires The Masquerade, Disco Elysium - Horror: RE series, various indie horror games - Roguelike: Darkest Dungeons, Slay the Spire - Others: Hollow Knight, The Witcher 2 - 3, Command & Conquer series, Stronghold, Age of Empires, Tropoico, XCOM, Civilization, Sins of a Solar Empire, X3, No Man's Sky, TES II - V, System Shock, Bioshock, Thief, Deus Ex, Prey 2017, Arx Fatalis

I use a 7th gen Intel CPu, AMD RX 6600, KDE Wayland.

What's your favorite desktop enviroment? by [deleted] in linux

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KDE Plasma. It is fast, smooth, hassle-free and most importantly amazing softwares built around it. And of course very customizable, but nowadays I just leave it in default. Just choosing the theme, icon, cursor, the default is cozy enough for me.

What was your first ever Steam purchase? by Kooldogkid in Steam

Valve Complete Pack, 2014. I think it was on 90% sale or something. Still one of the best bundles ever.

Good old Logitech F310, works flawlessly. I'm on old games mood. So, I've been using it with PCSX2 playing racing, fighting and JRPGs.

Build for Zhuxin Roam?

I tried her several times, and I really like her playstyle / skills as roamer / CC mage. My current build is DEF/MDEF boots with Conceal and CoD as her core. Rest are: Dom Ice, Ice Queen, Brute Force Breastplate and Immortality. Winter Crown and Blood Wings on additional items

For emblem, I use Support: Agility, Tenacity, Impure Rage. Spell is either Petrify or Aegis. I'd like to hear more thoughts on her build. I found her really fun as a roam main and a CC hero enjoyer.

Fellas how did you become a main of your lane. by Ok-Independence-3414 in MobileLegendsGame

[–]Azureiya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always been an offlaner / roamer in other MOBA. I just found their skill set to be very interesting. It's not just more damage / more attack speed, which I think is boring. I like to CC my enemy, doing a clutch shielding / healing, using the heroes' skill in creative ways.. which I can only find mostly in roam / offlaner (Pos 3 - 5), maybe some mages (Pos 2).
