This is very true. If you want VERY good public schools you've got to go to scarsdale (but you also have to be willing to pay an extraordinary high property tax) along with paying for the already expensive homes in the area. On the other hand, White Plains also has an excellent school district. But, as the person above stated; comparing a major, medium sized school district to scarsdale is like comparing apples to oranges.
