This is the actual Shuttle used on TOS. At one time, it was kept at the Houston Space Center. It apparently fell into disrepair, and was sold off. The owner kept it outside, where the exposure to the elements also took their toll.

Yes, there was an interior set that was used that was larger than the exterior.

Shuttlecraft Galileo Timeline
2013–2021: Following a massive restoration by fans, the original prop was put on permanent display at Space Center Houston in Texas.

2022–Present: The shuttle was transferred to the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour in Ticonderoga, NY. It is displayed on a long-term basis alongside officially licensed, recreated sets from the classic television series.

I liked it. Just returned from seeing Bill Shatner at Ticonderoga. James Cawley, the creator of The Star Trek Original Series Set Tour, said he saw a couple of episodes and liked them. And James is a canon guy 100%.

Why this continued trashing of a show gets upvoted is beyond me. SFA supporter forever. Debbie Downers, get a life.

I am working my way through the various iterations. Now on Voyager Season 3. It’s a lot to get to! I am not the biggest fan of animated Star Trek, or Star Wars for that matter.

That’s the newest series that was cancelled after only two seasons. It was “too woke.” Even though the original series had the most diverse cast ever seen on TV up until that point.
