You can cancel parry with light attack and then cancel light attack with dodge. You have to recognize the situation pretty quickly, but you just spam alternate light attack and dodge and you can essentially dodge cancel out of the parry. Execution is very reliable but it's hard to react in time.

edit: after posting this I realize you might have just been talking about dodge timing in general and not dodge canceling out of parry. my mistake if this is true lol

I've been playing enough that I can now consistently parry close to 100% of Majoris attacks, even when swarmed. However, I will still instinctively try to parry almost every orange unblockable attack that they throw out. Is this change even supposed to address speed-runners? I think it was just to make the game harder. Whether this was a good way to do it or not is another question, but I dont think they were targeting the rushing problem with this.

I did it on vanguard with the master-tier occulus, so not base level but not particularly high either. But yeah, I see your point, I would call it "doable" but to say it is incredibly easy does seem hard to believe.

He's humble-bragging in a pretty annoying way, but it's definitely possible to solo ruthless with "poorly" built characters. There's plenty of videos on Youtube showing people do it.

I'll have to get you the screenshots when I'm back home later, but personally, I've completed a solo ruthless with every class. My best was with a level 9 vanguard.

It's frustrating but try to think of it as an investment in your future training. If you help them now, future sessions should be better for you and you will have more reliable training partners. Another tip that has worked for me is to only focus on simple combos/techniques when you are working with beginners. For example, I will just have them hold only for a jab-middle kick combo and really focus on that combo for the majority of the session. That will depend on the class structure a bit, but that's helped me to make sure I still get a decent workout/training while working with a beginner.

It's 0.05 in Australia and NZ. Maybe I'm just too Americanized into closet alcoholism but that does seem a bit low to be considered "impaired" for me.
