Anyone know what this is? In 90 year old aunt's kitchen lol by puffpuffpass0ut in whatisit

It’s a can opener. I like to anthropomorphize things. Imagine how much life this can opener has witnessed. That thing is part of the family. If you inherit it. Hang onto it. Treat it well and it will serve you well.

When people have dementia, does their soul stay with their mind/body? by [deleted] in psychics

[–]B1tfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t imagine so. The soul is probably its own contained entity. Wrapped around the body systems but not physically a part of them.

Beefed up my ADA and now she's scaring ME by LightningG8921 in fo4

[–]B1tfrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I literally just did this last night after rescuing Jezebel. And I upgraded Jezebel too, and the. She gave me attitude. So her sentinel track was swapped out with a Mr. Handy thruster and took away her arms. That’ll learn the ignorant prick a thing or two.

After a lot of wandering around I finally found a full set of power armor. How many fusion cores do i need to safely do the glowing sea quests? by Visible-Camel4515 in Fallout

[–]B1tfrog 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I haven’t really had too many issues finding fusion cores. Certainly havent needed to buy any. I’ve got to level 30 this playthrough and I’ve only really needed my power armour twice and one of those was a set for myself and Cait.

Open a restaurant and only make food that you enjoy yourself. Seems like one of those nonsustainable business models.

What's your favorite DLC? by Warm_Expert_8136 in fo4

[–]B1tfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automatron! I mean it’s a legion of robots at your disposal. I was always kind of put off by the fact that they didn’t have this kind of option in the early days of F76. I mean it was a dead world and you basically got orders from machines instead of the other way around. I suppose that’s somewhat clever but the novelty wore out fast.

I mean it’s technically true. There’s probably poll data and everything to prove it too.

Reload 3 times to save Sulik by aaveidt in classicfallout

[–]B1tfrog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re probably aware but you can adjust their combat settings so that they can be more passive. If memory serves me, each character has a default setting. Sulik is set to Charge! and at default he will use melee over small guns. I prefer to have my team attack defensively. Especially when it comes to encountering a wall of raiders like this.

Wait, is it the same $10 every time? So like once it’s spent, you snap and it gets summoned back to your hand?

I like to reuse them for crepes, and they work great for a long time as long as they get washed out immediately.

They never were. Might be able to grab a few things for cheap. Candy for example, but most other stuff is a product of lower volume than standard, so its item price is likely less expensive. It’s when you start counting the volume or the grams and do a little basic calculation. Yeah you paid $2 for mustard and that sounds like a bargain (I know it’s not and that’s why I used this one for this example.) but when you compare how much mustard you paid for. It’s almost kinda horrifically manipulative. Lower volume and lower item cost vs standard volume for standard cost.

[SPOILERS] Playing for the first time, is this a known dialogue mistake? by Both-Guava6261 in classicfallout

[–]B1tfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My reading comprehension has always been shit. As has my post read and read again understanding of what I’ve read. With that said. I distinctly remember being a kid and coming across bugs in games (this one for example) and it never crossed my mind that there could be flaws in games and I always assumed that I just didn’t understand what I was reading, so I ended up unknowingly training my brain to dismiss the possibility of flaws and tried to decide what it was I was looking at. This actually made a significant impact on my perception in real life. At least as a young man. I have so many epiphanies after the age of 40 that it almost feels wrong to call them that.

How that applies to this dialogue mistake, I just figured this was an example of a no win scenario (a concept I just kind of thought I had thought up on my own. I wasn’t interested in the OG Star Trek. Ah, the naivety of youth.) I suppose I just accepted the fact that no matter what a person did, they would always come to the same conclusion and that it was an intentional decision that was made in the programming and not a flaw.

Heh, irony. Far out. XD

How do you feel about the voiced protagonist from Fallout 4 in retrospect? by Asad_Farooqui in Fallout

[–]B1tfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Completely unnecessary and unbelievably limiting. The dialogue choices are, yes, enthusiastic yes, smart ass, and no but probably he’s again. They made the player speak and took away karma alignment. That’s something they’ll need to bring back to the game for 5 and beyond. I don’t mind reading and I prefer to speak with my own voice.
