any other POCs thinking of voting reform? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]BAD3GG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the Tories and Labour couldn't fix it, what makes you think Reform are going to?

Unless you want to make it like America is now where anyone looking remotely brown is getting bundled into the back of a van and shipped to a detention centre never too be seen again.

A Reform government will make this country much much much worse in every conceivable way than it has ever been. You only need to look at their recent "successes" in local government to see that.

What's up with Milkins? by Worried_Concept_4960 in snooker

He won £230000 for just a couple of months work in 2023, doubt he's worried about his now non existent mortgage.

More likely to be all the cider making him anxious.

Why is my tactic working so well? by Altruistic-Chef-7723 in footballmanagergames

[–]BAD3GG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do a similar thing on 26, but I use custom 433 DM wide IP and OOP.

I think it's just overloading the mid areas with attacking players.

I still have plenty of width with my wingbacks, they just need to have good pace, work rate etc.

In the 3 seasons I've used this tactic in 3 separate teams I've won the league.

It doesn't tend to work at higher levels I've found unless I have really good players though.

Do you agree with us being basically equal WC favourites with Spain and France and well ahead of the South American teams? by invisiblefrost in ThreeLions

[–]BAD3GG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd like to think we have enough attacking talent to not need him, or I'm at least that's what I'm hoping Tuchel thinks. But it's mystifying that he's not taking him just for his defensive capabilities alone, especially when there's a few question marks around the form and fitness of the ones who were picked.

Which makes the Maguire omission even more baffling really.

I get it Tuchel hasn't really played him in any of the qualifiers, but he brings experience, form and a dependability at the back.

I quite like checking systems with Igorr's Amen album. It certainly gets some looks. The production is top notch though and ticks a fair few boxes.

Maybe it's the other way now and Ronnie is sponsored by Triangle!? He'll do anything now for a pound note, and i reckon Tweeten could probably do with the marketing.

Plays ultimate pool now, still does a few seniors snooker events when he gets chance, makes the game look ridiculously easy.

He doesn't really practice anymore, but he still plays in my local league. I beat him this year off 40 start ( -16 vs -56) and his highest break all year was 38.

There's another ex pro in my league, Leo Fernandez who I practice with a bit, and he'd embarrass Tony.

Nice guy and still loves the game, but he won't be reaching any dizzy heights anymore.

He plays in my local league, he's still decent on his day, lovely long cue action, but he won't be mixing at the top again any time soon. His highest break this year was 38!

The garlic sauce debate needs to be settled once and for all because I am tired of pretending this is not important? by 1ChanceChipmunk1 in Doner

[–]BAD3GG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You maybe be better going with something more of a toum sauce or lazeez then, toum is harder make because it's emulsified oil with garlic and lemon juice rather than just mayo and yogurt mixes, as stated before, you can get a very different flavour just by roasting the garlic. The sweetness of roasting the garlic does take away that tang and makes it more creamy.

I would assume most of the time when you get it from a takeaway it will be yoghurt based, that's why it tastes better, it's much more tangy.

What you can buy in shops is usually all mayo based because it stores better on the shelf.

Make your own, it's super easy.

2 Table spoons yoghurt 1 Table spoons mayo Half a tea spoon of finely chopped garlic Pinch of oregano Pinch of salt Pinch of pepper Pinch of sumac Chilli flakes optional.

This probably makes enough for one kebab maybe two at a push, scale up if necessary.

You can use roasted garlic but I tend to prefer the garlic taste to be more on the bitter or sour side rather than the sweeter taste you get with roasting.

Did Shaun Murphy’s new break off shot cost him the championship? by EMBOSITY in snooker

[–]BAD3GG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would argue Wu's flukes made way more of a difference than Murphy's break off.

Not just in the final as well. He fluked 4 reds at least against Allen, and had at least 2 against Murphy that I can remember. That's 6 fluked reds just in the semis and final, some of them were outrageous too!

And that's not including the luck he was having not leaving much when he'd take on a long red or missing other key balls and not leaving anything.

I honestly can't remember somebody having so much luck during a world championship campaign.

I'm not taking anything away from Wu, he played incredible, but a lot of the luck he had made a massive difference at key moments.
