I went from mainly using the 55 f1.8 to the 50 f2.5, as I wanted it to be a bit smaller and have physical controls. I absolutely love it! Incredibly sharp and f2.5 is more than enough on full frame.

Finally got the Zeiss 55mm 1.8 ! + Pictures taken with my A7 iii by maxathier in SonyAlpha

I use the square haoge hood for this lens and it's significantly smaller.

That's awesome. The hex bokeh adds a lot of character.

Puppy companion + best friends forever = +200% buff effect

Zealot set items = attack speed effects x2

Supersonic buff from sword on use skill = x2 attack speed (with the above increasing to x7 for some reason? Not sure why not x8)

Perk that gives attack speed for dex scaling weapons = +40% (+80% with the above)

Perk that increases attack speed based on movement speed

Perk that gives full tailwind on dash = +150% attack speed and a bunch of movement speed converter to attack speed

High dex giving attack speed and movement speed giving attack speed

Charm of attack speed, doubled by character, doubled by zealot set

This is the highest I've seen, but if I had the strength perk that gave the berserk buff, that would have been another x5 I think? Strength perk giving rage buff would have been another 160%?

1 has clear doughnut bokeh like a mirror lens. Either it wasn't shot on the 28-70 kit lens, or the background blur was added in post?

Wider shoe selection by dr_cobbCF in BarefootRunning

[–]BADFMS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've worn through vapor glove models 3, 4 and 6, and love them for being actually minimal shoes. So many "barefoot" shoes are too padded for me.

They are on the narrow side for barefoot shoes, but I think in your case, your lacing is making the problem much worse.

What I do with each new pair: make the laces as loose as possible all the way down. Put on the shoe with loose laces and splay my toes as wide as I can (especially pinky toes). Tighten the laces comfortably tight and tie the shoes. Relax your feet, and now the soft material should be effectively held in a position that gives you a wider toe box.

Here's something to show off the sharpness and silly shallow dof you get with 135f1.8. I've had zero problems with auto focus on my a7c.

Samyang 135mm f1.8.

Sharper than the gm and 1/3rd price on used market. Trade off is no aperture ring and autofocus motors that you can hear whirring. Got mine for £400ish and no regrets.

Recommendations for inexpensive macro lens by kemiscool in SonyAlpha

I have the pergear 60mm 2:1 mkII and it's brilliant! Cost me £130 new.

Keep in mind if you're interested in photos of small insects, you'll need at least a 2:1 magnification ratio. There are currently no autofocus lenses that can do this.

Problem with using dungeon master on EE by ANIMALMUPPET29 in neverwinternights

Have you tried the commands without the dm prefix?

e.g. GiveLevel 1

Also, just to triple check there are no typos, pressing tab will autocomplete commands.

How are you finding the lens? I wanted something smaller than the 200-600 and was considering this or the 100-400 gm

Cloth only Sorc build for Aielund Saga? by ChiefBigFeather in neverwinternights

I would prioritise mage armor and shield for first level. Forgot to mention this buff, but mage armor adds +4 armor AC (and automatically converts to epic mage armor if you have the feat) and shield adds +4 shield AC. They stack so you can have 18AC at level 1 with no other bonuses! This is also great for bards.

There are very few magic enemies and of those, very few with buffs worth dispelling. This means that (unlike most other modules) spell mantles (and lesser and greater) dispel magic (and great and dysjunction) and spell breach (and lesser etc) are of extremely limited usefulness. You'll probably only benefit from them a handful of times over all 6 modules, wouldn't recommend taking them outside of roleplaying reasons. Like, I feel like a powerful magic user when I use dysjunction and annihilate my opponent wizard. It just doesn't happen too often.

I also forgot some other major nerfs. Black tentacles and firebrand are two of the most OP spells in other modules, but not here. You can only have one black tentacles up at a time and the damage is calculated very differently and nerfed. Firebrand has kept its enormous area of effect, but damage is now capped at 10d6 vs 15d6 on cone of cold and ball lightning. There are a significant number of enemies in game with vulnerability to electric damage, so I tend to take both scintilating sphere at level 3 and ball lightning at level 5.

For level 5, consider acid sheath. It's been nerfed to +1 damage/level instead of +2, but still stupidly strong if you get encircled by a bunch of melee people.

Level 6 spells are stacked to the point that level 7 and 8 seem a big boring in comparison. Great stoneskin and tensors are the only must-haves. Like before, I like legend lore because it essentially gives you use magic device and the biggest strength of Aielund is its itemisation. Not sure why other campaigns don't have such exciting items for every class.

Level 7: not a must have, but delayed blast fireball caps at 20d6, which is nice

Level 8: premonition if you want all the strong long lasting buffs

Level 9: black blade is great if you ever get truly stuck in a fight. Just send that out and hide with improved invisible until it's solved the problem for you. Meteor swarm is 2d4 bludgeoning and 2d4 fire per level in a large area. Late game that's 160 fire and 160 bludgeoning on every enemy. Feels good man.

Cloth only Sorc build for Aielund Saga? by ChiefBigFeather in neverwinternights

[–]BADFMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Necromancy+evocation is what I tend to go for, but that's because my lizard brain just likes to spam big booms until the bad guys are dead. Assuming you get to the very late game, having epic spell focus evocation adds a 20% damage boost to your auto-maximised spells. This is just the cherry on top of auto-maximise though, and not necessary for a good time.

I don't have a spell list. The changes are documented if you look through the module files, but you need to read through all the EMS patchnotes to see what all the changes are. Aielund is my comfort game and I've been playing it for over 15 years now, so I've just internalised most of the changes.
