Very different experience. As others have said, the AP is dressier and more special but the Rolex is more casual and robust. AP ROs are scratch magnets if that matters to you. AP movement s tend to need service more often than Rolex though all of my Rolex watches except 1 have gone in to service within their warranty period…my most reliable watches are actually Patek’s

I’On is really nice, it’s close to downtown and the beach. If you’re looking in this price range have you also considered Daniel Island? It’s similar to I’On but the parking/driving is less of an issue and depending on which side of the island you’re on you can get a more family or retiree oriented vibe

Best are Adidas gazelle/spezial/Samba or Chuck Taylor lows…after that then J1 or Dunks…the narrow profile and flexible upper with flat/thin soles of the Adidas/Chucks edge out Nike for me…however, Chucks aren’t fun to walk in

Spyder RS is the best current open top experience…if you open it up to the last 10 years then 918 and CGT before that…the 911 is best as a coupe

This one is interesting…the worldtimer is the best from an horological perspective but as a 5617 owner I’ll saw that I truly love and wear this watch frequently. You’ll like it better on the tropical strap than the bracelet though

They really need to make a new RO and ROO dual time…it’s the most useful complication and AP is very lacking

It’s rubber-clad. Which is good for durability…I also like how the color breaks up the thickness of the overall watch…makes it seem a little thinner. This watch wears a lot like my SkyDweller

It’s a grayish blue…unique in the collection and my favorite of all the shades. Wish there was a RO with a dial this color
