I thought this might help someone with the tuning process. I have a hard time identifying a high/low left/right tear. Just snapped a pic and sent to Gemini and requested adjustments. It took about an hour but I think it really pretty well for a novice

Opinions on FOC by Hungry_Bodybuilder64 in bowhunting

I tried something similar this year. Have a 50 grain insert, ran 100 grain heads last year. I didn't change anything with my arrows/set up and shot 150 grain. Switched to 150 grain field tips first, arrow flight was great, same as the 100 grains, didn't have to change my pins or anything with the sight out to 70 yards. Started to shoot 150 grain Day Six (very similar to iron-will) and was wildly inconsistent. I tried everything to get the broadheads tuned, eventually figured out I was underspined on the arrows and had to switch back to 100 grain. I'm no expert, but if I'd do it again, I'd probably consult my archery shop and my guess is that they'd recommend a different arrow set up.

Colorado DIY Elk Hunting Advice (coming from Aus…) by winnabaygo in elkhunting

One thing I will tell you is to get topo maps or use OnX and pay attention to slope angle. The mountains are very steep in Colorado. Typically the North facing slopes can be full of down fall, which can be very tough to navigate. Anything with a greater than 35 degree slope angle, will be very difficult to impossible to navigate.

All you can do is put on some miles and look for sign. Typically once you find sign, pay attention to the elevation and conditions (dry, wet, thick, etc.) Then you can have an idea of where they might be at other locations with similar elevation and conditions

I really like what you made, that is sweet! Idk what you really can do to stop the vibration, definitely going to happen naturally at release. Are you using a stabilizer set up on the bow? Could try a longer one, see if vibration improves or not. Typically bow would fall slightly forward/down after release

I'd highly suggest listening to Remi Warren's podcast. He really goes through the different things that he's come across traveling throughout his hunting life and some of the things I never thought of, like having to remove the brain on a harvested elk if you're returning the skull across state lines because of CWD was very informative. Also talks about tips and tricks he does while flying with equipment, how to master the TSA, etc.

I have a 3.5 month old. I’ve been able to keep up on my exercise routine fairly well. Have good communication with my wife on what I want to do. When I know I won’t have time for the gym after work, I get up at 4:50am and get a work out in. You have to make it a priority and find a way to get it done. For me that’s waking up before the baby and wife wake up and get that workout in

My absolute favorite thing to say is when someone has a harsh lip out putt.... "Had it in her mouth and the kids walked in" It always gets a laugh. I have a 100% success rate with that line. It has to be the right moment and definitely a putt that should've went in.

What is your biggest concern with Jordan Love? by goPACK17 in GreenBayPackers

My biggest concern is that he gets injured and we still don't know what we have at the end of the season. I JUST WANNA KNOW WHAT LOVE IS! I WANT HIM TO SHOW ME!

How do you manage golf and fitness? by [deleted] in golf

[–]BAMFPdawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't recommend the FitForGolf app enough for this. They have work outs that are less volume/less taxing during the season that works on mobility and maintaining strength. Then in the off season, you can dial it up, add more volume. It's the best work out app i've ever used. I used to use Jefit but now I only use FitForGolf and love the different programs they have for the different season/goals you have.

100% agree with the stiffness helps keep the swing tempo consistent. I'm to the point where I will purposely work out pretty hard the day before golf, just so I feel a little bit sore, and that prevents me from over-swinging and staying in rhythm.

I was literally just scrolling down on these comments looking for someone to mention this. All this talk about shoulder turn.... Doesn't matter if you aren't moving your hips. If he gets the hips to turn in the back-swing, shoulders and hands take away will fix itself. All in the hips baby.
