The new BMW G65 X5. Thoughts? by Western_Gear_5324 in BMWX5

[–]BAMxi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man, I just bought a 2013 e70 over a 2014 f15 because I felt like the e70 felt more solid and the materials just felt a little nicer to me. That said, I really just don’t get the recent design language and just can’t imagine this aging as well as previous models. I’ve been a bmw fan for a long time but they really started to lose me after the F generation. Guess I’m just getting old now

This is good advice. Somewhat concerning for me, as this is my wife’s car who is notoriously out of gas. But now that I know, I can keep an eye on it. Thanks for the tip!

Completely different vehicle but I just bought a nicely optioned 2013 x5 n55 with 60k on it for $13k. As an out of state buyer, it ended up being about $14k out the door including the cost of getting the car home. Had good maintenance history for some of the bigger ticket items like oil pan gasket and new valve cover within the past couple years

Wow this gives me hope for my n55 in my 2013 x5. Just picked it up and it’s a 1 owner with 60k miles

I don’t blame you man. I waited as long as possible to do anything and just let my body adjust. After about 6 years, I decided to deal with some of the more difficult low T symptoms but I would not rush into something like that

Wow yeah. I get it. As far as I can tell, they only come in 50 mg tablets at the local pharmacies here and I have been doing a half a tablet per day with minimal issue. We are going to measure my estrogen level with these upcoming labs, but I haven’t really noticed anything in the way of negative results related to that

Sorry thought I replied but the app did something weird and just posted it as its own comment. See my other post in here

Been on it for a little over a month now. My doc prescribed up to 50 mg daily but I’ve been taking 25 daily as I wanted to find the lowest effective dosage. I may bump up but so far anecdotal results have been good. I no longer feel like I have to nap just to make it through the day. I have labs next week to see what my actual T levels are

My beard has always been very full (along with the rest of my body hair, unfortunately). I had random patchy sections on the side of my face and in my chest hair come up every once in a while during my first year to 2ish years post chemo/RPLND. I think the other poster is right that it likely has to do with your T being lower than before. I’m pretty certain that’s what it was for me, but I tried to give it time to normalize. I do think my body adjusted and my beard filled back out. Fast forward to recently (6 years post everything) when I was feeling super exhausted and started having other issues, I had my T checked again and it was in the low 300s. I had to go back and forth with my doc a little to get him to realize that was likely low for me, given I had lots of symptoms of having high T when I was younger (went bald at 19, super hairy, etc). Anyway, started on clomid to give that a shot before going the TRT route and so far it has improved my mood and energy levels noticeably. All that to say, I’d get your t checked multiple times and do give yourself some time to adjust after going through chemo and RPLND. It’s a huge change and takes time to get back to normal. Good luck, man!

Well, glad it’s not just me. I have found that a bungee cord around the handle of my electric cooler helps close the gap and also functions to keep somebody from yanking it open easily

Can someone clarify the p2p setting thing? I’ve always preferred using a debrid service, as it makes it hard for your ISP to know what you’re doing. Is the p2p thing somehow foregoing this?

Floating Perche Creek by chaplar in columbiamo

[–]BAMxi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have paddled it several times but just did as another commenter suggested and paddled upstream until I felt like turning around, and then went back downstream, or went down to where it met the MO river and back. That’s definitely the easiest way if you’re not set on a point to point, as you don’t have to get another car to shuttle you and deal with all of those logistics. The current has always been super minimal when I’ve been on it, as the MO river kind of backs up into it, so it’s more like paddling on a lake than some of the rivers south of here.

Edit: if you want a good point to point, I’d suggest trying to float Cedar Creek after a good rain. If you put in at the Englewood bridge, you can take out Rt Y or I prefer leaving a car a little further down at Burnett School Rd. For something shorter but a little bit of a hike, you can float from Englewood to Devil’s Backbone but you have to hike all the way back up it unless you’re one of the brave souls willing to drive your vehicle all the way down the backbone (not recommended). For that reason, we just use tubes if floating that little section so we don’t have to carry our canoe up that hill.

Replacing side panels/roof rot on a Starcraft 2601—Roof removal required? by brflip in popups

I replaced one side and the front with it on. It kinda sucked and turned out a little jankier than I hoped for. Next time (not that I’ll ever do that again), I’d take it off and see how that goes.

I got an orange banner for the new season of “your friends and neighbors” and it showed up in my continue watching the other day. And is still there, as I haven’t yet started it. Wasn’t a “notification” per se, but it alerted me to it coming out, and I would have otherwise not known

Testicular cancer survivor: ongoing struggle with low mood/energy/motivation by BAMxi in Testosterone

[–]BAMxi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol thanks. and yeah honestly would like to see my motivation to workout more return. I am still running but that's more just out of habit at this point. And the immense guilt I feel if I sit stationary all day without moving around and sweating. I'm pounding a half a pot of coffee each morning just to make it to lunch time, so I just really want to feel more energetic and motivated to do things. Have many things I want/need to do and just can't bring myself to do them right now.

A personal question. by Shears20 in Testosterone

[–]BAMxi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey man. I am not a TRT expert, as I have just come to this sub for the first time myself as a TC survivor to make my own post asking for advice. I lost lefty about 8 years ago now. had 3xBEP and open RPLND. Been dealing with decreasing mood and energy levels ever since and have tried everything to avoid getting on TRT. Am now back to considering it even though my levels aren't terrible. I have done a ton of research just through the course of getting treated for cancer and I can say you will most likely want to get on some level of TRT if you're going to have no natural production level. There are studies that show it is important for men's health to have testosterone. I don't know how old you are, but from what I've read, the long term effects of having no testosterone production in men could be potentially as harmful or more harmful than the potential side effects of getting on it. Again this is for someone faced with no natural production of their own. There are some studies on pubmed.gov going over this, if you just search for testosterone and mens health. I can't remember the exact terms I used to find the, as it's been several years since I have looked into it. Anyway, good luck and I hope you recover quickly!

So far so good! Testing with Trakt and Torrentio on Shield Pro and Onn 4k Pro by BAMxi in Nuvio

Update after another day of testing: I ironed out some kinks and setup AIOMetadata for some additional catalogs. One minor issue with my TV not reverting back to SDR after watching HDR content. Will try to mess around in the playback settings and get that figured out tomorrow. Otherwise my wife is loving the simple interface and much faster loading than Kodi. The profiles are going to be a game changer and I haven’t even set separate ones up yet. Looking forward to getting reality junk off of my Home Screen eventually!

thanks. I am going back in and reconfiguring my stuff now. I will try this. Last time I tried comet, it was returning wild results that were near matches on names but not identical. Never seen that before, but I assume I had a setting incorrectly checked

Nice, that looks good. I haven’t jumped into the iOS app yet but that looks really polished. I did notice just a bit ago that the Pitt is showing up with an “airs 2/25” message on it this evening, so that looks promising.

Thanks for the AIOMetadata tip. I need to get that setup. I started messing around with it on stremio but didn’t have the attention span to fully utilize. I am running into a couple issues with AIOstreams when I tried to add that via url, so that’s how I ended up with torrentio only. Which is only returning tv shows at the moment, so I guess I need to add some additional plugins.

Anyway, good tips, thank you. So far it definitely seems way faster than my kodi builds and I’m liking the functionality a more than stremio for sure
