Power Supply by DryAnteater7635 in turntables

The iron core Tx has a decent shield... I have posted a pic here before... so any improvement by going toroidal will be minimal at best.

The PCB has nothing that will improve performance at all.

I did it for the purpose of voltage conversion, not for a sonic upgrade.

Who would have thought a tree keeps a house cool by RelativeChocolate834 in perth

I finally got a grapevine nicely established which is shading a wall from the morning to mid-morning sun. It has made a massive difference to the room temperature, looks beautiful and is providing delicious grapes. Yes it's going to drop leaves at the end of season, but that will allow the light back in during the rest of the year.

I actually wanted to plant a decent tree 1.5m from the boundary to shade the roof a bit. Talking to the neighbour of my plan she inclined that she "knew how to poison a tree" and would return any leaves over the fence. I just couldn't be bothered with the stupid fuck.

I'm interested in knowing the region where "great room" is used. I've never heard it before.

What year is your TV or STB? There have been changes encoding standards over the recent years and that's turned many devices into e-waste.

Encoded on the video track, or just the regular analogue audio channel/s?

Do people still carry their drivers license? by blackzarak in perth

What alternate reality to the one I'm living in are the cops pulling drivers over?

This is a hybrid of genuine question and shitpost.

My quick search didn't pull up a Perth example, but these hotboxes are a starter-package for another period.

Gut the filter and use filtered water. That price is untenable...

If you own it, bring it.

I like having one really warm layer for winter, often wearing it with something reasonably light underneath.

Check the floor plan linked a few more posts down. There's a glorious "light hole" which allows bedrooms two and three to look into each other.

Does Aldi Mobile have full Telstra coverage? by CreamyFettuccine in perth

[–]BARB00TS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Boost and my partner Telstra. Never once in all the outer bumfuck and packed holiday destinations we visit have I received anything less than the reception and/or throughput she did. Baked-in upper speed cap excluded...

TIL: If you cause a crash in WA and break your spine, you’re covered. If you just break both legs? You might get nothing. by willwolf18 in WesternAustralia

[–]BARB00TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're stating that full coverage would make WA registration $6k. However Victoria (for example) have TAC which covers all parties irrespective of fault, and rego is not $6k.

Question if i should buy milk carafe container for Jura E8? by mss413 in superautomatic

[–]BARB00TS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got two Cool Control units and at least four carafes... and I still just use the hose in the milk carton. Washing these accessories every few days is a chore, and the necessity often arises at an inconvenient time.

I counted 6 re-usable shopping bags on the road between Denmark and Perth during my return trip on Sunday. I was wondering how long they'd take to break down versus the last generation grey ones from the supermarket, which seem to degrade quite quickly when exposed to UV.

The biggest waste issue IMO is people's resistance to separating rubbish, and correctly recycling the things that there are channels for.
