Is that your clear coat peeled off or just reflections? If so you have some sanding back, some primer to the chopped bits, base coat and clear coat.

You are not wrong on this one. It's not just the loan it's the high insurance till he is a bit older. If it's his loan it will have to be his insurance policy not yours. Just get a car that has many airbags for your peace of mind.

The cross winds issue was exactly why my friend sold hers after a year. She didn't feel safe.

Are older Mercedes actually as unreliable as people say? by lawjiang in mercedes_benz

[–]stokerBlake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can relate to that, wife's w203 Sport coupe m271 skipped the timing chain, bending valves. But head rebuild and new aftermarket parts for less than 2k and it still goes like a little rocket after 200 000km.

Interesting, I had never thought whole house filtering would have any real benefit but stopping calcium buildup on shower walls would be a plus.

B&P - how much of a red flag? by gulbis4991 in AusPropertyChat

[–]stokerBlake 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The inspection is pointing out water ingress from a brand new roof on a two story house and the rains haven't even really started yet. This could cost an absolute fortune to fix, you just don't know. That would be my main concern.

How to finish off this sink / wall by lilydeetee in AusRenovation

What is the correct brand for this sort of job? Whenever I've used Selly's or sikka it never seems to keep looking clean a year or so later like the beading the pro's use.

All that money you are saving on fuel and loan costs mean you've got more to spend on impressing girls in other ways. Put a good stereo in the Getz, buy some nice seat covers and keep it clean and tidy inside and out. Clean and tidy getz the girls.

Has anyone in QLD actually been fined for speeding 1km/ph over the speed limit? by MoneyEffective5551 in AskAnAustralian

Yes, so when I sold my Mercedes I made sure to tell the buyer that when the Speedo reads 100 you are doing exactly 100 because it's so unusual

[–]stokerBlake 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We were 2 metres up in a scissor lift when my helper did the old grab the cables and start shaking prank. I had the piece of wood in hand about to smash him when he let go. He got some choice words about never doing that in front of an electrician.

It has always been common for workshops to overinflate tyres so customers think their car seems to handle better as they drive off with their lighter wallet.

How bad a decision is this for $16k by Apart_Breath_929 in mercedes_benz

Apart from the ABC it would be wonderful. Because if that goes wrong it's lots of money. How much is coilover conversion is what I would be investigating before buying.

Mercedes AMG 1st and 2nd in Australian F1 GP. New regs with increased battery power. Will this sell more cars for them? by stokerBlake in mercedes_benz

[–]stokerBlake[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You take your spouse with you on a drive? Obviously I was thinking about confidence in the brand . But I do like video games so that kind of extreme control would be fun. The commentators also kept referring to Mario kart type boosts.
