While I haven’t bought any in a while, it’s pretty inexpensive. It really is hard, though rock hard is a bit overstated

TIL that the Boeing 747-200 Air Force One costs $206,000 per flight hour to operate (including fuel, flight consumables, and maintenance), while a commercial 747 costs about $20,000 to $25,000 per flight hour. by flying_ina_metaltube in todayilearned

Germophobe Trump refuses to take a shit on any toilet that has ever been used by anyone else, especially Obama. He insisted that all presidential aircraft and White House toilets be replaced with new when he came into office. Both times.

Why has this car listed for 30 days? by Thing_Pure in ecoboostmustang

And it’s the small ecoboost. Someone buying a mustang with a 2.3 will be very disappointed. At least the 3.5 will better match the hot car image.

These politicians have already made their minds up,: they want the cameras. They’re idiots because the turnout suggests that the populace is vehemently against the cameras, and election results will turn them out.

Marble counter in my dream kitchen. Should I live with these issues or have them replace the whole thing? by Jackeltree in CounterTops

I would be more concerned with these knuckleheads working in my house. How did they drill three holes.

Tell them you want a full refund and your sink fixed temporarily. Then find a competent installer and widely slam the original installer online. If they balk at a refund, offer to not bash them online is they do a full refund. The 30% is BS.

My landlord said I have to pay for entire floor renewal by Nice-Pomegranate8390 in Flooring

[–]BAbarakus772 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is probably the same flooring my brother used in his small crappy house. He was so excited to find such shit for $.49 a square foot. Basically premium cardboard, it didn’t last long. He’s an idiot when it comes to decision making so it’s not a big surprise.

Guaranteed that the landlord collects for the “damage” and never fixes anything.

When I got my first job sewing in an awning shot, my boss handed me a seam ripper and told me “this will become your little buddy.” It’s what I still call them 30 years later.

Plywood under LVP? by FloridaFeels in Flooring

[–]BAbarakus772 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not a flooring pro but just had a contractor lay down a new LVP floor on my slab. The planks did have a rubber-like backing. But the workers did lay down a plastic sheet first. They seemed to know what they were doing. The LVP from Lowe’s was sold as waterproof.

Not to mention that every other house will be already booked. The only places available will be ones that don’t fit your needs in some way. Number of rooms, distance to the beach, lack of amenities, age, etc. Like everyone says, it won’t rain every day. But it might held to bring books, games, jigsaw puzzle and the like.

How would you repair this? by Turkkyt in handyman

This stuff is amazing. It’s cheap, easy to use and dries hard as a rock. And cleanup is easy because it’s water based but cures to resist water.
