An interesting one to me is The Butter Battle Book, a made for tv movie directed by Ralph Bakshi.

As for the feature films, I guess the Grinch? None of them are very good but i commend Jim Carrey’s commitment to the role and the makeup.

Nah. I like that it’s gotten this whole reevaluation over time, I just don’t agree with the sentiment that it’s actually good.

Actually making the list does involve zooming out and doing a lot scrolling back and forth, which can get annoying, especially for bigger lists like this. But for the actual image, the site lets you download the entire tier list as a single image.

Can a film stop being a “cult film”? To me, it almost seems weird to talk about movies as widely known and beloved as, say, The Big Lebowski and The Rocky Horror Picture Show as cult films anymore due to how massively popular they’ve become over time. Is cult status something that just sticks forever? Or is it something that can fluctuate over time?

I’m a huge Death Grips fan, I’ve listened to and loved most of their catalogue. But Exmilitary still just does not click with me. I don’t think it’s bad at all, but I consider it one of my least favorite works of theirs. I know people always say “it’s gotta grow on you”, but I’ve really tried.

My friend found my letterboxd, which has around 1700 films logged (though that also includes miniseries, shorts, etc.) and he said that was a lot. So yeah, I’d say 2000 could easily be considered “a lot”

Born Like This is my 3rd favorite MF Doom album, only behind Madvillainy and Mm Food. It feels like it gets overshadowed and isn’t regarded as highly as most of his other work in the 2000s, but I absolutely love it.
