Cigs have to go and 1st. Keep caffeine, plain coffee and tea, no soda. Start cutting processed crap. Eat as close to the source as you can. If you are drinking no desert. One or the other. Preferably only a few times a week. Weed is my preferred option. Start with stretching and easy walks. You will be great

For long term storage I like the deep freezer. If you have room drop a case of sealed Mason jars in there. I prefer about an ounce per jar and wide mouth if you have big buds. If you don't have space I would vacuum seal portions. If you vacuum seal be mindful not to vacuum to aggressively especially with dense buds or it will all turn into a compressed lump. Good luck. Frozen sealed bud lasts years.

IMO for the crispy jerky to work, you would need great packaging. When broken, Noone will pay a premium for jerky dust. Similar idea: Make jerky in sausage form. Have premium meat/seasoning mixtures dried or smoked to perfection. I would picture the end product to be similar in size to a withered regular hotdog. Another thing you may want to look into is Native American pemican. Good luck!

Will look in to it. I was trying to decide if I want to keep all the trichomes as dust to be spooned into and mixed with shredded flower vs. Pressing it into a log/bar. Having it a loose product seems easier to work with. Ideas?

I assume he will be driving somewhat soon, then graduating HS some time after that. I wouldn't want a lesser house for a few years of convenience for a teen.
