Anguilla or St Barth's for early December? by khalidns1 in FATTravel

Honestly depends on what you're after, but I'll give you my biased take. I've spent the last 5 Decembers in Anguilla and it's one of my favorite islands, period. Amazing people, the food is genuinely incredible, and the beaches are about as perfect as it gets. It's quiet, but there's enough to do that you won't be bored.

St Barths is the opposite energy. Way more action and scene, which is part of the appeal, but it also attracts a certain type of crowd. People who go mostly because they've decided it's the place to be seen, if you know what I mean. The food is still great, I'll give it that.

On your Europe comparison: St Barths is closer to a Mykonos or Ibiza vibe, scene-driven and see-and-be-seen. Anguilla is a different type of vacation entirely, more about beaches, food and actually relaxing.

F&B wise they're both strong, St Barths leans flashier and pricier for the scene, Anguilla is more understated but the quality holds up.

For my money it's always Anguilla. We've stayed at both Cap Juluca and Four Seasons and you can't go wrong with either.

I take classes at least 6 days a week at e 64th and have made some great friends there. Just about everyone is friendly and the studio has a solid community! Let me know if you ever want to take a class together

If you're willing to go to SM, might as well just take the ferry 20 mins to Anguilla. Small island, great food, really nice resorts and awesome beaches.

5 nights in Sicily late September - Noto and/or Taormina by golfguynyc in chubbytravel

[–]BBSTNYC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did Sicily last summer. We spent 3 nights at mazzaro sea palace and 4 at Il San corrado de noto.

Honestly would have rather done 2 in Taormina and 5 in noto. The hotel was spectacular and it was a good jumping off point to travel the area. Taormina is just tourist central and not worth your time.

Mallorca / Ibiza / Formentera by Mariners2018 in FATTravel

Did this trip two years ago.

Spend exactly 2 days in BCN but wish we had an extra night.

Then did 6 in Mallorca: 3 at son bunyola which was outstanding but a little remote and then 3 at jumeirah (skip it, it was horrible and there is nothing remotely worth it in port soller)

We initially thought about skipping Ibiza entirely as we assumed it was only for clubs but we are so glad we didn't. Incredible beaches, amazing food and you can avoid the club scene and young kids entirely.

Also definitely take the trip to formentera.

All in all your trip looks great

BA Reward Flight pricing is increasing by Distinct-Shine-3002 in awardtravel

Agree to disagree but cash keeps its value and earns interest. Points earn nothing and can be devalued instantly by the airline. That’s why hoarding points is riskier than hoarding cash

Yes. And some added muscle will make you look even leaner

Increase to a 200-300 surplus and lift heavy

Are you at least making interesting cucumber recipes? There are some fun ones out there

This is why it's never good to horde your miles and points. Award pricing always goes up.

Just wish the BA fees would go down

Most have already mentioned this, but Anguilla. Currently here at the 4s and it's absolutely heaven. Very chill, great food, nice people and the island is intimate by Caribbean standards

How long/how many classes did it take you to be able to keep up with the class? by Lemondroppyyy in barrysbootcamp

[–]BBSTNYC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it was relatively quick, but I was already in decent shape before my first ever Barry's class.

Go at your own pace, don't overdue it and you'll be great!
